Packaging and Production Designer

We’re hiring a Packaging Designer / Production Artist (Remote | Contract | $42–$56/hr) to support an exciting B2B packaging refresh project for a well-established brand in the automotive components industry.

In this short-term contract role (1–2 months), you'll lead the creative development of a scalable and brand-aligned packaging system that spans over 100 SKUs. You'll collaborate directly with marketing leadership to bring modern, impactful packaging concepts to life—delivering executive-ready mockups by mid-June. This is a remote opportunity offering a competitive hourly rate and the chance to make a tangible impact on a high-visibility design initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Create fresh packaging concepts that reflect an updated brand identity.

• Present multiple creative directions—ranging from modern evolutions to bold redesigns.

• Design flexible visual systems for a wide range of product dimensions (100+ SKUs).

• Develop comprehensive packaging guidelines (fonts, colors, logos, etc.).

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine and finalize concepts.

• Produce modular templates and multi-panel layouts for packaging components.

• Deliver polished mockups suitable for executive review by mid-June.

Requirements

• 5+ years of packaging design experience, ideally in B2B or industrial markets.

• Strong portfolio showcasing diverse, relevant packaging work.

• Proven ability to work across variable formats and packaging sizes.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).

• Excellent time management and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with your own equipment and current software licenses.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or mechanical product packaging.

• Background in large-scale brand refresh or redesign projects.

• Familiarity with international packaging production specs and processes.
