We’re hiring a Copy Editor for a hybrid, full-time 6-month contract opportunity in Downtown Los Angeles with one of our premier financial services clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly collaborative marketing team within a respected and regulated industry.
As the Copy Editor, you’ll play a critical role in reviewing and editing both print and digital marketing materials for clarity, consistency, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings a keen eye for detail, a strong editorial background, and experience working in regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals. Familiarity with French-language materials is a bonus, though not required.
This hybrid role requires onsite presence in the Downtown LA office on Tuesdays through Thursdays, transitioning to Monday through Thursday beginning September 8, 2025.
Pay Rate: $30–$34/hour (paid weekly) + benefits!
Edit and proofread marketing content for grammar, style, tone, accuracy, and brand consistency.
Ensure all facts and statistics are verified using internal and external sources.
Apply editorial standards using internal style guides as well as AP and Chicago Manual of Style.
Manage recurring updates for existing content, including legal disclaimers and statistical data.
Confirm updates are accurately reflected across digital platforms and tools.
Monitor evolving compliance language and update content to meet regulatory standards.
Maintain and update internal style guides and editorial resources.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timelines and project goals are met.
Assist in managing deliverables and flagging content challenges when needed.
3–5 years of professional copyediting experience.
Mastery of grammar, punctuation, and editorial style.
Knowledge of compliance and legal content considerations.
Detail-oriented with strong editorial judgment and analytical skills.
Comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with financial services or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
Experience editing French-language content is a plus, but not required.
