Technical Game Designer

We’re looking for a Technical Game Designer for a hybrid opportunity in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you’ll join our client’s AI Foundations team to create immersive gaming experiences by integrating cutting-edge machine learning and AI technologies. This hybrid opportunity offers the chance to work alongside engineers, researchers, and product managers while mentoring team members and driving innovation in real-time in-game experiences.

Technical Game Designer Responsibilities:

• Utilize expertise in game mechanics and systems architecture to develop tools that support scalable, production-grade ML systems.

• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and designers to implement AI features that elevate player experiences.

• Identify and implement technical enhancements to meet future gameplay needs.

• Work closely with product management and stakeholders to deliver high-quality AI solutions.

• Mentor team members to foster growth and innovation.

• Support the creation of robust AI-powered designer tools to optimize real-time in-game experiences and workflow efficiency.

Technical Game Designer Qualifications:

• Over 4 years of experience in professional game design or technical game design.

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages and familiarity with machine learning tools and MLOps platforms.

• Proven track record of planning and executing technical and design projects, with experience in rapid development environments.

• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring engineers and designers.

• Experience with Unreal Engine, Blueprints, and other technical workflows.

• Experience with Game AI and leading game features (preferred).

• Background in both gameplay and systems design, particularly in PVP action games (preferred).

• Proficiency in C++ development (preferred).
