Job Description

The Pre-Planner Technician is responsible to the Industrial Engineering Methods Engineers for ensuring compliance with the EOS system, adherence to Flow 4 procedures and work instructions (Product and Process Development) according to MSD, and following BOP, BOT, BOE instructions for continuous improvement. Key functions include designing MSD systems for new launches and engineering changes, defining pre-planning activities, ensuring chronological controls, meeting MSD labor efficiency metrics, designing work instructions and visual controls, ensuring EOS/IATF 16849 compliance, reviewing customer requirements, and implementing new technologies for continuous improvement.
Must Have:
  • Responsible to Industrial Engineering Methods Engineers for compliance with EOS system.
  • Adherence to Flow 4 Procedures and work instructions (Product and Process Development) according to MSD.
  • Adherence to BOP, BOT, BOE instructions and Continuous Improvement.
  • Knowledge of Production Systems.
  • Basic English proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Office Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, AutoCAD.
  • Ability to manage computer equipment (plotters and printers).
  • Effective communication and ease of speech.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Availability for work shifts A, B, C.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 (ISO14001 / ISO9001/ISO45001).
  • Knowledge of SPC tools (Statistical Process Control), 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa.
  • Design MSD systems for new launches and engineering changes, adhering to BOP, BOT, BOE.
  • Define pre-planning activities based on the degree of product change or launch.
  • Adhere to chronological controls for pre-planning to ensure client program timelines.
  • Meet MSD labor efficiency metrics (Manufacturing System Design).
  • Design work instructions and training for MSD system and visual control.
  • Ensure compliance with EOS / IATF 16849 for internal and external BSI audits.
  • Review customer requirements and critical characteristics.
  • Review procedure changes.
  • Review FTQ and determine process action plans, adjust PFD, PFMEA.
  • Maintain updated pre-planning and engineering change documentation daily.
  • Ensure critical work routes are compliant.
  • Issue notifications of agreements, minutes, and work plans to all areas.
  • Quote CRs (Change Requests) and ECMs to meet objectives.
  • Implement new technologies for adjustment, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Complete APTIV academic training courses for the current year.

General Functions

Design MSD System for New Launches and Engineering Changes, adherence to BOP, BOT, BOE. Define the Pre-Planning activities that must be carried out according to the degree of change or product launch. Adherence to the chronological controls to be used to complete Pre-Planning (if necessary) to ensure the client's time program. Compliance with MSD labor efficiency metrics (Manufacturing System Design). Design of work instructions and training for MSD System and Visual Control. Adherence to EOS / IATF 16849 System Compliance for Internal and External BSI Audits. Review of requirements and specific customer requirements (Critical characteristics). Review of Procedure Changes. Review of FTQ and determine process action plan, adjustment in PFD, PFMEA. Pre-planning documentation and engineering changes updated daily. Critical work routes in compliance. Notifications of agreements and minutes and work plans issued to all areas. Quotation of CRs "Change Request" and ECMs on target. Implementation of New Technologies. Adjustment and Continuous Improvement and Innovation. Compliance with APTIV academic training courses for the current year.
