Job Description

Pentair is seeking a Product Manager to join their team in Brookfield, WI. This role involves serving as a product owner, collaborating with other functions to drive strategic development of product portfolios, and being responsible for overall revenue, profitability, vitality, and market share gain. The Product Manager will focus on the market presence of the product line and make a meaningful impact on an important product category.
Must Have:
  • Own a significant product line.
  • Execute strategic initiatives to drive sustainable organic growth.
  • Lead strategic product planning through effective use of product development roadmaps.
  • Conduct Market Research and Competitive Intelligence.
  • Support and drive New Product Development (NPD) activities.
  • Support sales and operations through accurate forecasting.
  • Work with Marketing to develop and execute go-to market strategies.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle for the products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, and/or Product Development.
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen through strategic decision-making.
  • Quantitative skills with proven experience interpreting data and drawing conclusions.
  • Demonstrated success in driving change, achieving results, and developing & continually improving standards of performance.
  • Proven experience in developing strategic product lifecycle plans: NPD roadmap development, current state maintenance, sun-setting, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment, including the ability to quickly develop relationships and influence peers.
  • Proven ability to influence at all levels of the organization cross-functionally.
  • Successful experience working in a global matrix environment.

You will serve as a product owner collaborating with other functions to drive the strategic development of product portfolios. Our Product Managers are responsible for overall revenue, profitability, vitality, and market share gain. This position offers focus, urgency, and sharpness to the market presence of the product line. You will:

  • Own a significant product line.
  • Execute strategic initiatives to drive sustainable organic growth by identifying, preparing, executing, and tracking plans to grow your business.
  • Lead strategic product planning through effective use of product development roadmaps.
  • Conduct Market Research and Competitive Intelligence by integrating output into strategic recommendations that guide product decision making.
  • Support and drive New Product Development (NPD) activities through marketing strategies, costing, price positions, Voice of Customer activities (VOC), competitive analysis, channels of distribution, and go-to-market strategy, while minimizing “region specific” product launches.
  • Support sales and operations through accurate forecasting on organic and incremental growth.
  • Work with Marketing to develop and execute go-to market strategies for product and program launches, develop product/sales support materials and conduct periodic sales training sessions.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle for the products you are responsible for.
  • Occasional travel may be required (<25%).

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, and/or Product Development.
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen through strategic decision-making.
  • Quantitative skills with proven experience interpreting data and drawing conclusions.
  • Demonstrated success in driving change, achieving results, and developing & continually improving standards of performance.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
