Job Description

CNET Group, a division of Ziff Davis, is seeking a Product Manager to align roadmaps with revenue, audience, LTV, and engagement KPIs. This role supports brands like CNET, ZDNET, PCMag, Mashable, Lifehacker, ExtremeTech, and AskMen, focusing on data-driven product development. Key responsibilities include synthesizing inputs, defining product success, identifying risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams like SEO and Paid Search to create well-rounded products. The manager will also analyze product performance and understand competitor experiences.
Must Have:
  • Synthesize inputs from cross-team functional groups to craft a single narrative.
  • Define success, identify risks, and proactively search for solutions for your product portfolio.
  • Familiarity with Product Management software, including JIRA, Figma, and Asana.
  • Experience presenting to a large variety of stakeholders, including Senior Leadership Team members.
  • Close collaboration with SEO, Paid Search, Edit, and Partnerships.
  • Analytical skills to create projections for future product performance, opportunity size, and report on performance.
  • Facilitate effective scoping and retro meetings, with thorough documentation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of competitors’ experiences.
  • 3+ years of experience at a digital media company in a Product role.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and creative-thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within the product organization and with stakeholders.
  • Capability to multi-task, pivot, and change focus when necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering or any related field.

About the Role:

CNET Group, a division Ziff Davis is hiring for a Product Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the broader product organization, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to align roadmaps to revenue, audience, consumer LTV and engagement KPIs.

This role sits within the UX Product Management team and will be supporting the CNET Group including but not limited to brands like, CNET, ZDNET, PCMag, Mashable, Lifehacker, ExtremeTech and AskMen. You will be able to make decisions based on data and insights and execute to build products that are right for our customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Synthesize inputs from cross-team functional groups to craft a single narrative and communicate that upwards.
  • For your product portfolio: defining success, identifying risks and proactively searching for solutions, and escalating issues where needed.
  • Operate with familiarity with and effective use of Product Management software, including: JIRA, Figma, Asana, and more.
  • Leverage experience with presenting to a large variety of stakeholders (including Senior Leadership Team members) to tailor communication style to the audience and effectively lead a wide range of meetings across the organization.
  • Close collaboration with SEO, Paid Search, Edit, and Partnerships to craft clear acceptance criteria and create well-rounded products.
  • Exercise analytical skills to create projections for future product performance, opportunity size, and report on the performance of a delivered product.
  • Facilitate effective scoping and retro meetings, with thorough documentation of wins and opportunities to continue to develop the team.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our competitors’ experiences to ensure we’re staying at the forefront of the landscape.

Job Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience at a digital media company in a Product role
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and creative-thinking skills
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within the product organization as well as engage seamlessly with stakeholders across all groups and divisions
  • Capability to multi-task, pivot, and change focus when necessary
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering or any related field.
