Job Details

Flying Bark Productions is working on exciting projects such as the recently announced Avatar: The Last Airbender feature film, Netflix's Stranger Things animated series, Marvel Studios’ What If…?, Disney Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Shaun Tan’s Tales From Outer Suburbia, Flying Bark’s own 200% Wolf movie, and many others. We’re looking for experienced artists who can work from our beautiful studio in Sydney for contracts starting beginning of 2024.

With over 400 artists at our studios in Sydney and Los Angeles, and partner studios around the world, Flying Bark is one of the largest studios in Australia. Flying Bark is wholly owned by Studio 100: a vertically integrated entertainment powerhouse based in Europe, with theme parks, theatrical productions, and live action and animation studios in Belgium, Germany, France and the USA.

Job Description

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator is dedicated to a specific department and contributes to the successful organization and production of the film. Working in tandem with the department supervisor assigned, ensuring the smooth running of the work of the department and the timely delivery to the following departments. 


Here's the kind of skills we're looking for:

  • At least 4-6+ years of production coordination experience in animated film/episodic;
  • Must have solid experience in coordinating for the asset/design, lighting/comp or animation departments in animated film/episodic;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Shotgrid;
  • The ability to deal with Confidential information and material in a discrete and professional manner at all times;
  • Excellent diary management skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Patient and empathetic nature while dealing with artistic personalities;
  • High level organizational skills;
  • Experience in administration and managing files, producing and formatting documents and updating spreadsheets;
  • A good level of formatting and document preparation and presentation skills desirable;
  • The ability to work to deadlines and under pressure;
  • Be available, proactive and a problem solver;
  • A flexible approach and able to take on extra tasks when required.
