Condé Nast France is looking for a Production Coordinator to join our video team and participate in the production of captivating content for our iconic brands: Vogue, GQ, AD, and Vanity Fair.
As a Production Coordinator M/F, you will work closely with Producers, the Finance department, the Legal department, the Heads of Editorial Content, and the VP, Global Physical Production to manage the production management operations of the France Video team. From supporting pre-production planning, video shooting, and post-production, you will ensure smooth operations and help producers coordinate logistics, manage and secure resources, as well as manage, forecast, and control production budgets and schedules.
Video production includes:
- Original content, social videos, and podcasts for global digital platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok).
- Syndicated series for local markets.
- Scalable, high-quality video franchises across multiple platforms and markets.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a dynamic environment, and demonstrates a strong ability to manage logistics while collaborating with various stakeholders. You will ensure project deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
This position is based in France and reports to the VP, Global Physical Production.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Logistics Support: Assist in coordinating and organizing video shoots to ensure the smooth running of the production day. This may include help with planning, equipment booking, or on-set assistance. Serve as the primary point of contact for freelancers, suppliers, and talent, ensuring clear communication and resolving any logistical issues that may arise during production.
- Financial Administration: Track expenses and process invoices for third-party vendors and freelancers. Liaise with the Finance department as needed to ensure payment of freelancers and teams. Assist in reconciling all production expenses, such as credit card expenses or personal expenses.
- Onboarding and Support for New Collaborators.
- Project Progress Tracking: Closely monitor production schedules, from development to delivery, track project evolution throughout the year, and plan staffing accordingly. Take proactive measures when necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Documentation Management: Support the creation and management of production documentation, such as call sheets, risk assessments, clearances, and releases.
- Database Management: Ensure the management of our databases related to our teams and freelancers.
- Post-production Support: Help organize post-production schedules, track footage delivery, and assist with asset storage.
- General Team Support: Provide general administrative support to the video team to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in production coordination or a similar role in video production. Understanding of production and post-production workflow, operational and logistical production.
- Experience in coordinating shooting logistics, including planning and team management.
- Knowledge of post-production processes and understanding of digital content formats for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Proven ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, in the UK and across all CN markets.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- You are organized, efficient under pressure, resourceful, able to solve problems, and have a sense of finance.
- Proficiency in business English (reading/writing/speaking) is essential, as you will work with international teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills; enthusiastic and sociable team player.
- Positive attitude: you are enthusiastic and ready to invest and help wherever necessary.
