Job Summary
The Production Supervisor at Flying Bark Productions manages daily production, including scheduling and tracking within specific departments, while developing artists. They collaborate with Production Coordinators, Dept Supervisors, and Lead Artists to ensure adequate resources. The role involves creating and maintaining efficient schedules, overseeing daily operations of Animation and Character Layout, tracking deliverables, monitoring approvals, and ensuring milestones are met. This position requires a high level of experience in animation production and strong management skills.
Must Have
- Work with the Line Producer in creating and maintaining an efficient schedule for these departments in the production
- Oversee daily operations of the Animation and Character Layout departments to ensure efficient flow of work through the facility
- Review and track requirements for deliverables and delivery deadlines
- Track all deliveries, schedule reviews and monitor approvals
- Ensure that weekly quota, milestones and production deadlines are met for each department
- Participate in production planning meetings with supervisors and technology teams as required throughout production
- Generate weekly reports, as defined by the Line Producer
- Assist with the organization and management of the Supervisor’s schedules
- Undertake any additional production duties and responsibilities as requested by the Line Producer
- High level experience (6+ years) in animation film production, series production or equivalent
- Experience with all parts of the animation production pipeline, from story department to final delivery in a professional production environment
- Experience with all aspects of production management, including schedule management, personnel and performance management
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, MS Project or equivalent and Shotgun
- Expert organizational skills
- Superior personnel management and team building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to use positive tone and attitude to diffuse conflict, provide solutions, and cultivate a fun and productive working environment
- Ability to anticipate and deal with an ever-changing production environment
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material

Job Description
Flying Bark Productions is a dynamic and innovative animation studio dedicated to pushing the boundaries of character animation and storytelling. We are working on exciting projects such as Avatar: The Last Airbender feature film, Netflix's Ghostbusters animated series and Stranger Things animated series, as well as our production Tales From Outer Suburbia by Shaun Tan.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day production including scheduling and tracking within a specific department(s) while managing artists to their full potential. Needs to work closely with the Production Coordinators, Dept Supervisors and Lead Artists to maintain the proper amount of resources throughout the project.
About the role:
- Work with the Line Producer in creating and maintaining an efficient schedule for these departments in the production;
- Oversee daily operations of the Animation and Character Layout departments to ensure efficient flow of work through the facility;
