Currently, the automotive industry is undergoing a once-in-a-century transformation to achieve CASE, SDV, and SW first. Traditionally, software development has been carried out by various companies and locations after hardware development. This makes it inefficient to realize in-vehicle system development. In the future, we aim to rapidly expand the value of in-vehicle systems by designing and verifying functions to be realized by software in a large-scale distributed development-capable cloud-based virtual development environment, and smoothly deploying the verified systems to vehicles. Specifically, we will realize co-design of semiconductors/ECUs/in-vehicle software and hardware, and application development for in-vehicle use cases, utilizing high-speed simulators connected to a cloud environment, high-precision HW emulators, and actual devices. We will define requirements and specifications, code, and verify in a single development environment, not only within Renesas but also with customers and partners, to efficiently develop in-vehicle systems.

[Job Responsibilities]

As a Product Manager, you will lead the vision formulation and realization of a cloud-based development environment. Specific job duties are as follows:

• Formulate and execute product strategy for a developer-oriented cloud platform
• Research and analyze developer needs and formulate a product roadmap
• Coordinate with stakeholders and define product requirements
• Manage product backlog in an agile development process
• Promote product development in collaboration with the development team
• Lead product improvement by setting and analyzing KPIs
• Propose product value and conduct internal dissemination activities
• Continuously promote improvements to enhance developer experience

Qualifications

[MUST]

• 1+ years of practical experience in web service product management or related fields
• Experience leading a series of processes from product strategy formulation to implementation
• Data-driven decision-making ability and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
• User-centric thinking and product thinking
• Ability to structure complex problems and derive solutions
• Knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies

[WANT]

• Experience in multiple product stages (idea, pre-PMF, growth phase, etc.)
• Experience in both BtoC/BtoB products
• Knowledge and understanding of UX/UI design
• Knowledge and understanding of software development
• Experience in designing and implementing measures to improve developer productivity with AI assistance
• Business knowledge (revenue models, cost structures, marketing, etc.)
• Knowledge and skills in the semiconductor and automotive industries
• Ability to make judgments while balancing business, UX, and technology
• Customer-centric thinking and deep understanding of user issues
• Ability to run hypothesis testing cycles data-drivenly
• Ability to make proactive decisions and act even in ambiguous situations
