Project Manager - Contract (James Smith)

Bounteous is a premier digital transformation consultancy seeking a Project Manager for a contract, full-time, on-site role in New Jersey. This position involves facilitating discovery sessions, developing detailed project plans, managing QA/UAT cycles, and providing status reporting. The Project Manager will also ensure information security practices are promoted and enforced, identify and report security risks, and ensure data protection compliance.

Must Have

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices
• Identify, assess, and report security risks
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle
• Facilitate discovery sessions with key stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plan outlining detailed task, owners, and dependencies
• Facilitate implementation of requirements, install required testing and business validation check points, and manage quality assurance / user acceptance testing
• Proficient in using JIRA
• Escalate issues or roadblocks to appropriate levels of management
• Provide monthly and quarterly status reporting via JIRA
• Coordinate with other project managers and scrum master's on dependencies
• Partner with the Fleet Delivery leads and the product owners to create effective and efficient squads

Good to Have

• Previous experience working in a financial firm and an understanding of business products and business processes
• Previous work in managing technical projects
• Previous technical experiences

Information Security Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Roles and Responsibilites

• Facilitate discovery sessions with key stakeholders to ascertain key initiative and staffing information.
• Develop detailed project plan outlining detailed task, owners, and dependencies
• Facilitate implementation of requirements, install required testing and business validation check points, and manage quality assurance / user acceptance testing (“QA/UAT”) cycles.
• Proficient in using JIRA.
• Escalate issues or roadblocks to appropriate levels of management as they occur in a timely manner
• Provide monthly and quarterly status reporting via JIRA to various reports that are replayed to senior management.
• Coordinate with other project managers and scrum master's on dependencies.
• Previous experience working in a financial firm and an understanding of business products and business processes a plus.
• Previous work in managing technical projects is a plus.
• Previous technical experiences a plus.
• Partner with the Fleet Delivery leads and the product owners to create effective and efficient squads.
