Job Summary

MATTE is a 360° full-service creative studio specializing in strategic ideation, creative development, branding, experiential, web design, campaigns, and content creation. This role seeks a Project Manager to coordinate internal resources, optimize workflows, and oversee project execution across various disciplines like campaign, experiential activations, and digital campaigns. The manager will be a key liaison between creative and client service teams, ensuring successful project delivery from concept to completion by managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Must Have

  • Collaborate with Resourcing and Operations team to identify and allocate resources.
  • Lead or assist in initial project meetings, establish detailed timelines, and define key deliverables and milestones.
  • Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Facilitate reviews and approvals with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams (creative, production, strategy) and external partners.
  • Assist in tracking project budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals and SOW parameters.
  • Contribute to project retrospectives, identifying successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support freelance talent resourcing and contribute to the growth and management of the creative internship program.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, ideally in a creative agency or studio.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across varied disciplines.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external vendors or partners.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and an interest in creativity and innovative storytelling.
  • Adaptability to navigate changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a client-focused mindset.
  • 4 days per week in-office (Monday-Thursday).

About this role:

MATTE Projects is looking for a talented Project Manager to join our team and support a variety of project types. This role requires someone with strong project management skills who can coordinate internal resources, optimize workflows, and oversee project execution across multiple disciplines, including campaign, experiential activations, digital campaigns, content creation, and more. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between creative and client service teams, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure success from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource Coordination: Collaborate with the Resourcing and Operations team to identify and allocate resources for all project types, ensuring that Statements of Work (SOWs) are clearly defined and executed.
  • Project Kick-Offs: Lead or assist in initial project meetings, establish detailed timelines, and define key deliverables and milestones.
  • Timeline Oversight: Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met while facilitating reviews and approvals with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (creative, production, strategy) and external partners to ensure seamless communication, resource alignment, and high-quality outputs.
  • Budget Management: Assist in tracking project budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals and SOW parameters.
  • Post-Project Support: Contribute to project retrospectives, identifying successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement to enhance future project processes.
  • Freelance and Talent Support: Support freelance talent resourcing and contribute to the growth and management of the creative internship program.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management, creative production, and client services.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field.
  • Project Management certification is a plus but not required.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, ideally in a creative agency or studio.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across varied disciplines, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external vendors or partners.
  • Proficiency in project management tools: Familiarity with Airtable is a plus as we use this tool internally.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and an interest in creativity and innovative storytelling.
  • Adaptability to navigate changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a client-focused mindset.
  • 4x days per week in-office (Monday-Thursday) remote work day on Fridays.

Compensation Band: $80,000-$90,000/year based on experience
