Job Description

Zeeco is seeking a Project Manager for their Power Burners team. This role involves managing project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring product quality meets specifications, and liaising with sub-teams, vendors, and customers. The Project Manager will oversee the project execution lifecycle, coordinate drafting, assist in design, establish cost budgets, maintain delivery schedules, and manage technical/commercial correspondence. The position requires strong project engineering experience and a commitment to technical excellence and client-focused solutions.
Must have:
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Ensure product quality is delivered to the customer to the correct manufacturing and quality specifications
  • Liaise with sub-teams, vendors and customers
  • Coordinate drafting for project
  • Review customer mark-up prints and aid drafting as to disposition for final approvals and shop release
  • Work from sketches, models, and verbal information supplied by sales/engineering/drafting
  • Assist in designing and producing engineering drawings (valve assemblies, electrical connection diagrams, P&ID's, detailing equipment for manufacture)
  • Help develop clean shop release file and confirm scope of supply based on customer specifications and sales quotation
  • Verify equipment selection and design, and perform/coordinate required calculations and sketches
  • Establish and track the cost budget for jobs
  • Maintain delivery schedule for job based on Customer requirements and Zeeco workloads
  • Co-ordination of pre-ordered materials as required for meeting delivery within schedules
  • Aid/inform/involve alongside Quality Control (QC) Department with customer/job specifications
  • Coordinate all required technical and commercial correspondence related to the job
  • Maintain change management notifying sales and estimating departments when changes occur
  • Coordinate written advice and price resolution with Customer concerning price revisions
  • Coordinate and update project documentation
  • Create project invoices via excel for finance
  • Strong project engineering experience, including but not limited to plant selection, budget developments and control through life cycle, QC, change management, internal and external customer interaction
  • Educated to degree level with a relevant Engineering degree
  • Competent at reading CAD drawings
  • Strong Mechanical and Electrical knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willing to travel worldwide
  • Live within commutable distance (max. 1 hr) from our office (LE15 7QT)
Good to have:

About the position:

  • As our newly appointed Project Manager in our Power Burners team you will be responsible for managing the project scope, schedule and budget and make sure the quality of the product is delivered to the customer to the correct manufacturing and quality specifications, liaising with sub-teams, vendors and customers and cementing the supplier/customer relationship.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for managing the project execution lifecycle by planning, budgeting, scheduling and tracking the project plan predominately:
  • Coordinate drafting for project. Make sure all required drawings are completed. Review customer mark-up prints and aid drafting as to disposition for final approvals and shop release. Work from sketches, models, and verbal information supplied by sales/engineering/drafting to determine the most appropriate views, detailed drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.
  • Assist in designing and producing engineering drawings (valve assemblies, electrical connection diagrams, P&ID's, detailing equipment for manufacture).
  • Help develop clean shop release file and confirm scope of supply based on customer specifications and sales quotation.
  • Verify equipment selection and design, and perform/coordinate required calculations and sketches to establish equipment design.
  • Establish and track the cost budget for jobs by working with Sales Department and cost specialists.
  • Maintain delivery schedule for job based on Customer requirements and Zeeco workloads, including coordination of drafting, purchasing, manufacturing and quality control. Co-ordination of pre-ordered materials as required for meeting delivery within schedules.
  • Aid/inform/involve alongside Quality Control (QC) Department with customer/job specifications; Inspect and Test Plan (ITP) requirements and any exceptional customer or QC detail.
  • Coordinate all required technical and commercial correspondence related to the job.
  • Maintain change management notifying sales and estimating departments when changes occur to the scope of supply and/or design of the equipment that affect the price. Coordinate written advice and price resolution with Customer concerning price revisions.
  • Coordinate and update project documentation.
  • Create project invoices via excel for finance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. Some of these duties may include:-Quotation/sales support, Field/sales trips, Design Engineering.

Requirements:

  • It is essential you have strong project engineering experience, including but not limited to plant selection, budget developments and control through life cycle, QC, change management, internal and external customer interaction, from conceptual design through to delivery and installation.
  • Experience in Petrochemical and/or refinery background desirable.
  • Combustion and Burner experience an advantage.
  • You will be educated to degree level with a relevant Engineering degree, and ideally have a qualification in Project Management such as Prince 2.
  • You will be competent at reading CAD drawings and have strong Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence, and be willing to travel worldwide.
  • You must live within commutable distance (max. 1 hr) from our office (LE15 7QT)
