Job Description

PhonePe, an India-headquartered digital payments app with over 600 million users and 40+ million merchants, is seeking a Public Relations Manager. This role involves shaping the company's external communication narrative, conceptualizing and executing PR campaigns, managing agency output, and advising leadership on messaging. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and communicator with corporate and agency PR experience.

Must Have:

Work closely with the PR head and business stakeholders to close the PR calendar
Independently conceptualize and plan PR campaigns
Analyze results and suggest improvements for PR campaigns
Ensure end-to-end execution of campaigns and announcements
Manage and track the output of external agencies
Build strong cross-functional relationships
Advise leadership team and internal stakeholders on messaging, forums, and channels
Create compelling stories using long form and various digital formats of writing
Postgraduate degree or diploma in communications
Minimum 6-7 years experience in a corporate communications / public relations role

Role:

PhonePe is looking to hire a Public Relations Manager to help shape the external communication narrative for the company. The ideal candidate will be a great writer and strong communicator, with experience in both the corporate and agency side of PR. A prior stint handling external communications for a start-up, will be a definite plus.

Job Responsibilities

Work closely with the PR head and the other business stakeholders to close the PR calendar
Independently conceptualize and plan PR campaigns, analyze results and suggest improvements
Ensure end to end execution of the campaigns and announcements
Manage and track the output of the external agencies
Built strong cross functional relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
Be an advisor to the leadership team and internal stakeholders on the right messaging, forums and channels to use
Create compelling stories using long form and various digital formats of writing.

Pre-requisites:

A postgraduate degree or diploma in communications
Minimum 6-7 years experience in a corporate communications / public relations role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of the media landscape
Ability to identify and work with external partners and agencies
Should be able to multitask seamlessly and manage multiple projects
Good organizational and time-management skills
Must be a team player who is eager to learn and grow
