QA Tester Internship

This full-time 6-month internship is within the development team for Cyanide's professional cycling games, Pro Cycling Manager and Tour de France. Under the QA Team Leader, the intern will perform quality tests, develop test plans, track bugs, write reports, and verify bug fixes to ensure product quality.

Must Have

About CYANIDE

Founded in 2000, Cyanide studio is today one of the leaders in French video games. The studio quickly gained recognition for the quality of its strategy, sports simulation, and role-playing games, such as Pro Cycling Manager, the Styx series, and Blood Bowl, which have been very successful with players. Building on this solid history and over 50 developed titles, the studio continues its success in the video game industry today, exploring new genres and imagining unique and exciting gaming experiences for players worldwide. Chef Life and Blood Bowl 3 were released in early 2023 to complete the list of published games.

The Position

This 6-month, full-time internship will be carried out within the development team for our games set in the world of professional cycling: Pro Cycling Manager and Tour de France.

Under the direction of the QA Team Leader, you will participate in the following missions:

• Perform quality tests on our products, following pre-established procedures.
• Participate in the development of test plans.
• Ensure the follow-up of bugs you have discovered yourself, as well as those reported by players or internal tools.
• Write reports based on remarks, suggestions, or recommendations within the framework of a Quality Process.
• Verify the proper consideration and correction of discovered bugs before validating the different versions of our products.

Profile Sought

• You demonstrate rigor, method, autonomy, and you appreciate teamwork.
• You have good written and oral communication.
• You are reactive and take initiatives if necessary.
• You are capable of imagining manipulations that can generate bugs and/or reproduce typical behaviors of different player profiles.
• Ideally, you have good knowledge of the Cyanide games universe, and you have initial experience in Quality Assurance.
• A good command of English is necessary to communicate with external stakeholders.
• You have a technical aptitude (prototyping with indie engines, level creation, etc.).

Would be a plus:

• Experience in video games.
• Basic knowledge of cycling.
• Being a viewer of the Tour de France.
