Job Summary

This internship is within Valeo Brain division, a world leader in driving assistance systems, at the Valeo Mobility Tech Center in Créteil. The intern will be responsible for analyzing cellular/Wifi/GNSS RF measurement setups, including TRP/TIS, VNA, Spectrum, Generators, and Amplifiers. They will also analyze various test tools such as automatic benches and 3D robots, focusing on repeatability in anechoic chambers. A key part of the role involves researching and proposing improvements for existing procedures, test setups, and means, encompassing RF tools, digital and analog interfaces, communication buses, and associated hardware/RF software corrections.

Must Have

  • Analyze RF measurement setups (cellular/Wifi/GNSS, TRP/TIS, VNA, Spectrum, Generators, Amplifiers).
  • Analyze test tools (automatic benches, 3D robot, anechoic chamber repeatability).
  • Propose improvements for test procedures, setups, and means (RF tools, interfaces, buses, HW/RF software).
  • Engineering/university degree in Electronics/Radiofrequency (Embedded computing option).
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Mathcad, PSpice (or similar simulation software).
  • Programming skills: C/C++, Python, VBA, Linux, Arduino.
  • Knowledge of RF instruments (VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF generator, anechoic chamber).
  • Understanding of Link budget, sensitivity, noise management, antennas, and general electronics.

This Research & Development center brings together 1180 employees around the design of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), connectivity solutions, human-machine interfaces, and cabin monitoring systems.

Your missions:

  • Analysis of cellular/Wifi/GNSS RF measurement setups – TRP/TIS - VNA - Spectrum - Generators - Amplifiers…
  • Analysis of test tools (automatic benches, 3D robot – repeatability in anechoic chamber…)
  • Research and proposal of improvements on procedures, setups/test means: RF tools, digital and/or analog interface, communication bus, HW/RF corrections, associated software…

About you:

  • Education: Engineering/university degree in Electronics/Radiofrequency (option: Embedded computing) - Profile: Bac +4 to +5 (equivalent to 4th or 5th year of higher education)
  • Language: English
  • Office software: MS Office, Calculation tools like Mathcad, PSpice (or other simulation software), C/C++ / Python / VBA, Linux, Arduino…
  • Technical skills: Radiofrequency instruments/instrumentation (VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF generator, anechoic chamber, Link budget, sensitivity, noise management…), antennas, general electronics
