Job Description

Tide is building a business management platform for small businesses, offering banking services and administrative solutions. As a Reconciliations Analyst, you will identify patterns, improve processes, and tackle complex banking challenges like unfamiliar transactions and missing payments across different countries and currencies. You will also be involved in various projects to build out the reconciliation function, ensuring BAU activities are completed within SLAs and proactively seeking process improvements.
Good To Have:
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with AutoRek or similar reconciliation tools
  • Familiarity with Google applications (G-Drive, G-sheets, G-meet)
Must Have:
  • 1-3 years of experience in FinTech/Financial services reconciliation
  • Experience in a high-volume Reconciliations environment
  • Payments/operations knowledge within India, UK & EU
  • Ability to spot patterns and identify areas for improvement
  • Investigative mindset to solve reconciliation breaks
  • Comfortable with tough banking challenges (unfamiliar transactions, missing payments)
  • Ability to complete BAU activities within SLAs
  • Proactive in seeking to understand and improve processes
  • Confident in cross-team collaboration
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, diligent, with excellent time-management
  • Adaptable to a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent spoken and written English

What we’re looking for:

As a Reconciliations Analyst you’ll be:

  • Spotting patterns is second nature to you, and you’re always ready to highlight areas that can be improved
  • Getting to grips with tough banking challenges like unfamiliar transactions, missing payments, and direct debits in different countries & currencies
  • Have a investigative mind, who looks to solve reconciliation breaks and future proof Tide Reconciliations for success
  • Enjoy getting involved in various projects as we continue to build our function

Your day-to-day responsibilities would include:

  • Completion of BAU activities within the required SLA’s
  • Executing ad-hoc tasks with guidance from management
  • Seeks to understand day to day problems or issues as they arise to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge within Reconciliations
  • Actively seeks help when needed & embraces guidance and feedback
  • Takes initiative to improve processes where possible with guidance from management
  • Able to pick up new Reconciliations use-cases and seeks to understand payment flows and best practices

What makes you a great fit:

  • You have 1 to 3 years of experience in FinTech/Financial services industry
  • You have Reconciliation experience in a FinTech/Financial services industry
  • You have experience in a high-volume Reconciliations environment
  • You have payments/operations knowledge within the India, UK & EU
  • You are confident in working closely with other teams
  • You have strong attention to detail
  • You have a curious mind and problem solving capability
  • You are organised, detail oriented, diligent and has excellent time-management skills
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-moving company where priorities can change and processes may need to be created from scratch
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Passion for problem-solving and finding solutions to difficult situations

Our Tech Stack (You don’t have to excel in all, but willing to learn them):

  • Excel
  • AutoRek or another Reconciliation tool
  • Familiar with Google applications e.g G-Drive, G-sheets, G-meet etc.
