Job Summary

The Recruitment & Admissions Manager at QS India, representing Schulich School of Business, is responsible for achieving regional enrollment targets in India and South Asia. This role involves devising and executing marketing and recruitment strategies, managing the admissions process from application to registration, conducting interviews, and building relationships with key stakeholders and partners. The manager will also represent Schulich at various events to enhance its reputation and engage alumni for community building and recruitment efforts.

Must Have

  • Work closely with the Alumni Relations team to engage alumni for community building, branding, marketing, and recruitment

Good to Have

  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or communications
  • Relevant post-degree experience in revenue-focused or relationship-driven environments

The Role:

The Manager of Recruitment & Admissions serves as a key representative of the Schulich School of Business in India and the South Asia region. Employed by QS India, the incumbent will work under the direction of the Head of Schulich Asia Regional Office (SARO), and collaborate closely with the Schulich Toronto team to achieve regional enrollment targets for all Schulich Graduate and Undergraduate programs.

With a strong understanding of the Indian and South Asian markets, the incumbent devises marketing and recruitment strategies to maximize reach and impact. They develop innovative initiatives, partnerships, and programs to successfully attract, recruit, matriculate, and retain high-caliber students for all programs at Schulich School of Business. The incumbent identifies opportunities to enhance Schulich’s online and offline presence in India (& the region) and generates leads for its programs in coordination with the Toronto team and local partners. At the end of each cycle, they evaluate results and identify areas for improvement. The role also involves recruiting students, conducting interviews, assessing their eligibility and fit for the applied program, and assisting successful applicants in confirming their offers. This role also entails building relationships with relevant partners, managing connections with test prep centers, establishing a strong presence at recruitment fairs and events, organizing promotional activities, and conducting one-on-one pre-admission assessment calls & interviews with all eligible/potential candidates.

Role responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting regional enrolment targets for Schulich’s graduate programs and offering significant support to the admissions team in India & Toronto in helping them meet enrolment targets. Develops targeted marketing and recruitment strategies to maximize market reach and impact. Analyses impact of strategies at the end of each cycle and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Executes on recruitment and conversion strategies for the India & South Asia market. Strategies require expertise in admissions, communications, marketing and knowledge of the Indian market. This includes development and delivery of presentations at information sessions, recruitment fairs and other activities as required.
  • Meets goals for activities such as interviewing prospective candidates, keeps them engaged through to conversion, ensuring timely response and high levels of customer service.
  • Coordinate the process of admission from application submission to programme registration.
  • Work closely with MBA and Masters Admissions teams in Toronto to; achieve conversion targets, manage application decisions, provide pre-arrival information (as needed), ensure a smooth application experience.
  • Is responsible for organizing marquee recruiting and conversion events, such as Experience Schulich, online and in-person information sessions, as well as important conversion events in key markets. Establishes and manages relationships with key stakeholders in India such as the High Commission, consulates, alumni, and test prep centers.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define target cohort profiles, design admissions processes, and ensure adherence to our quality and diversity objectives, ultimately enhancing the school's ranking and reputation.
  • Represent Schulich at global events, conferences, and in the higher education space in the region to enhance its reputation and build relationships with key partners
  • Work closely with the Alumni Relations team to engage alumni in the region for community building, branding, marketing, and recruitment purposes.
  • Perform other recruitment duties assigned by your manager

Key skills and experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field, such as business, marketing, communications. MBA preferred.
  • Candidates should bring relevant post-degree experience in revenue-focused or relationship-driven environments, a strong record of lead generation and meeting goals, a demonstrated commitment to customer and student support, and—ideally—familiarity with student advising, data-driven use of social media, CRM systems such as Salesforce, and the postsecondary environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to deliver compelling presentations and strong written communication
  • Excellent sales and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with CRMs, such as Salesforce (strong asset).
  • Experience using social media platforms
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with university admissions and recruitment processes (strong asset)
