Job Description

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a talented Reporter to research, report, and write compelling daily news, features, and in-depth stories in Spanish for multiplatform news products. The ideal candidate is a passionate, curious, and accurate storyteller who thrives in the field, collaborates with teams, and connects with the community. They must be bilingual in English and Spanish, confident on camera, and skilled in crafting engaging stories across platforms, staying informed on issues impacting the Latino community.
Must Have:
  • Research, report, and write compelling daily news, features, and in-depth stories in Spanish.
  • Cover breaking news with urgency and accuracy.
  • Report from the field, working closely with photographers, producers, and assignment editors.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of current local, regional, national, and international affairs, with emphasis on Latin American issues.
  • Strong story-telling skills and on-camera presence.
  • Ability to produce stories daily, meet deadlines, and utilize social media and online reporting.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

TelevisaUnivision is seeking for a talented Reporter who can research, report and write in Spanish on compelling daily news, features and in-depth stories for our multiplatform news products.

ABOUT YOU:

You’re a passionate storyteller who loves being where the news happens. You bring curiosity, accuracy, and energy to every story whether breaking news or an in-depth investigation. You thrive in the field, working closely with photographers, producers, and editors, and you know how to connect with the community you serve.

You’re bilingual in English and Spanish, confident on camera, and skilled at crafting clear, engaging stories across platforms. You stay informed on local and national issues, especially those impacting the Latino community. You’re driven, collaborative, and adaptable ready to chase the story whenever it breaks, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)

  • Responsible for news gathering in the field working closely with photographers, producers and assignment editors, producing stories, and conducting their own investigations.
  • Cover breaking news with urgency and accuracy.
  • Research, confirm, write and deliver a final news product as well as translate and edit copy.
  • Report from the field.
  • Some travel might be required.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Establish and maintain news contacts in the community.
  • Produce and report investigations, series, specials, and documentaries as needed.
  • Maintain strong familiarity with local, state, and national news and events across our coverage area.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works well with coworkers, supervisors, and the community at large.
  • Work independently while out in the field and under various weather elements.

YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with an outgoing personality and strong work ethics who enjoys working in the community. Must communicate clearly, concisely, and in a compelling manner.
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Should have a thorough knowledge of current local, regional, national and international affairs, with emphasis in Latin American issues.
  • Must have strong story-telling skills, on-camera presence and ability to handle simultaneous tasks, while working well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to produce stories daily and meet deadlines, with a full grasp of social media and online reporting.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to (8) hours

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 + Benefit
