Job Description

Patel, Greene and Associates is seeking a Roadway Group Leader in Southwest Florida. This role involves leading a local team, expanding market presence, and delivering projects for municipality clients and FDOT. The leader will maintain responsible charge over roadway projects, direct resources, ensure quality, lead marketing efforts, and mentor staff. This position requires versatile leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to PGA’s uplifting culture, driving success and professional development within the team.
Must have:
  • Maintain responsible charge over multiple roadway projects
  • Lead marketing efforts for the roadway discipline (preparation of Letter of Response and other Technical Proposals)
  • Direct roadway group resources to produce a quality product
  • Provide quality control reviews when necessary
  • Ability to lead internal training programs
  • Assist in the strategy planning and growth of the PGA roadway group
  • Requires no technical supervision
  • Ability to direct and mentor younger staff
  • Complete tasks and projects within expectations of Project Manager, Supervisor or Task Lead
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 10+ years of progressively more complex post-registration engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University, majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Good to have:
  • Excellent verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clients and colleagues
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and assign work and meet deadlines
  • Excellent ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner and concurrently at the direction of PGA’s Leadership Team
  • Leadership qualities in all aspects while continuing to produce at a high level

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain responsible charge over multiple roadway projects
  • Lead marketing efforts for the roadway discipline (preparation of Letter of Response and other Technical Proposals)
  • Direct roadway group resources to produce a quality product

Group Leader responsibilities and expectations:

  • Direct and manage resources of the group
  • Ensure quality product development
  • Track and encourages training and development of the group
  • Mentor discipline staff and develop future leaders
  • Identify recruiting needs and participate in acquiring new hires
  • Cultivate the PGA culture
  • Industry engagement to promote PGA reputation where appropriate
  • Lead and/or guide project management marketing efforts where appropriate
  • Reports to Directors/Executive Leadership on the performance of the group

What You’ll Need

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 10+ years of progressively more complex post-registration engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University, majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
