Job Description

The CEI Senior Project Engineer will bridge the gap between design and construction, ensuring projects are built safely and efficiently. This role involves assisting with business development, maintaining responsible charge over multiple projects, directing CEI group resources, providing quality control reviews, and assisting in strategic planning. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting a diverse array of projects while fostering the growth of the group. The candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to address potential problems before they impact the schedule or budget.
Must have:
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida.
  • 10-20 years of engineering experience.
  • FDOT Advanced MOT certification.
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager certification.
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with necessary computer programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good to have:
  • Proficiency with Trimble Business Center – Heavy Construction Edition.

Purpose & Need

Our CEI team bridges the gap between design and construction by ensuring that projects are built safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This requires a versatile staff with a wide range of skills that are detail-oriented, proactive, and can anticipate, address, and resolve potential problems before they impact schedule and budget. Since CEI is naturally a discipline with multiple assignments going on at once, the ideal candidate should embrace this fast-moving environment and be excited to grow our reputation with existing and new clients. PGA seeks someone who is eager to support a diverse array of projects and grow professionally while fostering the continued growth of the group.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with business development efforts for the CEI discipline (preparation of Letter of Response and other Technical Proposals, client contacts, consultant teaming, etc.)
  • Maintain responsible charge over multiple CEI projects
  • Direct CEI group resources to produce a quality product
  • Provide quality control reviews when necessary
  • Assist in the strategy planning and growth of the PGA CEI group 
  • Requires no technical supervision
  • Ability to direct and/or mentor staff
  • Complete tasks and projects within established supervisor’s expectations

What You’ll Need

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida
  • 10-20 years of progressively complex engineering experience
  • FDOT Advanced MOT
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager  

What You’ll Bring

  • Superb interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator able to relay information concisely to stakeholders of all backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to details
  • Proficient with computer programs necessary to perform those duties.
  • Ability to deal with constant interruptions while working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining high standards in all work efforts.
  • Shall become proficient with Trimble Business Center – Heavy Construction Edition.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
