Purpose & Need
Patel, Greene and Associates (PGA) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Professional Engineer (PE) to support and grow the Civil Site team. This position is available in our Tampa offices. This role involves serving as an Engineer of Record on projects, leading technical efforts, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to marketing and client presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in land development and utility design, as well as the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently. This position supports career growth and leadership within a firm committed to elevating both communities and its people.
What You’ll Do
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of land development plans concepts and software (HY-8, ICPR, HEC-RAS)
- Understand the concept of utility design.
- Often services in role of lead technical professional (LTP), but typically under the responsible charge of a more senior PE
- Capable of leading marketing efforts for less complex projects
- Assist Project Managers in a variety of projects administrative duties
- Directs Engineer Interns, designers, and technicians in completing civil site tasks, providing frequent peer reviews on theirwork
- Complete peer reviews, backchecking calculations, and completing tasks from start to finish
- Increased role in marketing efforts, including occasional participation in presentations and interviews
- Requires little-to-no supervision of tasks by senior staff
- Obtained proficiency in technical writing
- Complete tasks and projects within established supervisor’s expectations
- Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree, majoring in Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
- 0-10 years of progressively more complex Civil Site design experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)

- Must be able to effectively prioritize and assign work and meet deadlines
- Excellent ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner and concurrently at the direction of PGA’s Leadership Team
- Demonstrate leadership qualities in all aspects while continuing to produce at a high level
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on deadline-driven activities
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Products
