Lula is seeking a Sales Consultant to drive B2B growth, focusing on the full customer journey. This role involves managing high volumes of banking and funding applications, converting approved applications into disbursed funds, and analyzing new client applications. The ideal candidate is results-focused, a natural problem solver, and adept at executing sales deliverables in a fast-paced fintech environment, while consistently delivering high customer service.
Good To Have:
  • A Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
  • Experience in a startup.
Must Have:
  • Manage and respond effectively to a high volume of incoming business banking and funding applications.
  • Successfully convert approved applications into disbursed funds, meeting sales targets.
  • Accurately analyse and interpret business funding applications from new clients.
  • Timeously manage all essential tasks alongside application handling to consistently deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Provide reporting on your sales pipeline status, risks, and forecasts to leadership.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience within a fintech and/or financial services sales environment.
  • Proven ability to listen to and interpret customer problems/needs.
  • Track record of consistently excelling in meeting sales targets, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact on a personalised level to foster trust and long-term loyalty.
  • Customer-centric approach with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar.

Overall Purpose

Lula is looking for a Sales Consultant to help drive our B2B growth forward! We're looking for an experienced and proactive individual who loves owning the full customer journey.

The individual for this role should be results focused and a natural problem solver. You'll be expected to execute sales deliverables within a fast-paced, dynamic fintech sales environment, requiring both agility and precision.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and respond effectively to a high volume of incoming business banking and funding applications.
  • Successfully convert the applications approved by our Credit Risk team into disbursed funds, helping you meet and exceed your sales targets.
  • Accurately analyse and interpret business funding applications from new clients.
  • Understand which applications are ready to progress to the next phase of assessment, and which require additional information or should be declined.
  • Successfully convert applications that have been approved by our Credit Risk team into funding disbursals.
  • Timeously manage all essential tasks alongside application handling to consistently deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Provide reporting on your sales pipeline status, risks, and forecasts to leadership and leverage this data to drive performance

The Experience & Skills We’re Looking For

  • Grade 12
  • A Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business, or Accounting is desirable.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience within a fintech and/or financial services sales environment.
  • Experience in a startup is desirable.
  • Proven ability to listen to and interpret customer problems/needs
  • Track record of consistently excelling in meeting sales targets, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact on a personalised level to foster trust and long-term loyalty.
