Ema is building the next generation AI technology to empower every employee in the enterprise to be their most creative and productive. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers, playing a pivotal role in expanding our customer base. Responsibilities include creating qualified opportunities for the sales team using various outreach methods like LinkedIn, email sequencing, and cold calls. The role also involves working closely with marketing to drive webinar attendance and following up with attendees, as well as collaborating with sales to book meetings for targeted accounts and owning a book of business.
Must have:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales/Business Development
  • Proven track record of successful lead generation
  • Experience selling platform-like products
  • Familiarity with Hubspot and sales engagement tools
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Good to have:
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment

We’ve raised capital from notable investors such as Accel Partners, Naspers, Section32 and a host of prominent Silicon Valley Angels including Sheryl Sandberg (Facebook/Google), Divesh Makan (Iconiq Capital), Jerry Yang (Yahoo), Dustin Moskovitz (Facebook/Asana), David Baszucki (Roblox CEO) and Gokul Rajaram (Doordash, Square, Google).

Our team is a powerhouse of talent, comprising engineers from leading tech companies like Google, Microsoft Research, Facebook, Square/Block, and Coinbase. All our team members hail from top-tier educational institutions such as Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, CMU and Indian Institute of Technology.  We’re well funded by the top investors and angels in the world. Ema is based in Silicon Valley and Bangalore, India. This will be a hybrid role where we expect employees to work from the office three days a week.

Who you are

The ideal candidates will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base by connecting enterprise organizations with our enterprise sales team. We’re looking for SDRs who can produce, learn quickly, and adapt to a variety of solutions and outreach methods. We want someone who is driven, eager to learn, and willing to put in the time to make Ema successful.

Responsibilities:

  • To create qualified opportunities for the sales team.

  • Use different outreach methods to engage our ICP(LinkedIn, Email sequencing, cold calls.)

  • Work closely with marketing, drive attendance to webinars, follow up with attendees, help set up meetings for our sales teams at different events.

  • Work closely with sales to help book meetings for targeted accounts

  • Own your book of business (Know your metrics, SQL’s value, and assigned solutions)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Sales/Business Development or similar role, ideally in SaaS or technology-driven companies.

  • Proven track record of successful lead generation, qualification, and pipeline management.

  • Has experience selling platform like products with multiple capabilities

  • Familiarity with Hubspot and other sales engagement tools.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
