Job Summary
Under the responsibility of the controller, the Accountant (Expert) is in charge of producing the company's financial information. This includes preparing semi-annual, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, as well as providing various cash forecasts as needed. The role involves participating in monthly closings, reporting, audits, tax declarations, and internal controls, while ensuring compliance with NCECF/IFRS standards.
Must Have
- Participate in monthly closing (production and approval of journal entries - Peoplesoft)
- Participate in the production of Headquarters reporting (Hyperion Financial Management)
- Review accounting books, participate in semi-annual and annual audit files
- Participate in the production of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements (with notes)
- Participate in the preparation of tax returns
- Participate in the preparation of the quarterly "Balance sheet Forecast"
- Monitor Cash Forecast on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis
- Perform monthly calculation of tax provision
- Perform various internal controls quarterly
- Supervise and train, if applicable, accounting interns and accounting administration technicians
- Assist the controller in the analysis of monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with NCECF/IFRS
- Perform all other related tasks and special projects (mergers, processes, modeling, etc.)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Ability to organize and structure work
- Analytical mind
- Sense of responsibility and ability to communicate effectively
- Experience in a multi-company context
- Team spirit and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to meet deadlines within the given timeframe
- Experience working with international parties and remote teams

Qualifications
What you will bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, professional designation (CPA /CA) an asset, or relevant experience
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and NCECF/IFRS accounting standards
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Oracle/Peoplesoft - an asset
- Knowledge of Hyperion (HFM) - an asset
- Ability to organize and structure work
- Analytical mind
