Job Summary

This role involves mobilizing and developing the sales team to achieve qualitative and quantitative company objectives, respecting brand activation strategy and commercial policy. It also includes managing national client accounts, identifying commercial opportunities for increased client penetration or value creation for Mattel's iconic brands, while ensuring a financially performing commercial relationship within your client portfolio. The position is based in Paris/Bagneux.

Must Have

  • Define regional objectives and allocate them by sector

  • Prepare and lead meetings
  • Relay commercial conditions and strategy to the team
  • Develop and analyze dashboards, ensure reporting, and make recommendations for sales growth
  • Propose and build specific commercial actions, such as challenges
  • Ensure communication between the sales force, commercial management, and all company departments
  • Support the sales team in negotiations and in handling certain disputes
  • Increase the performance of the sales team by developing individual skills and collective dynamics
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations regarding commercial practices, work organization, and safety
  • Define sectorization
  • Manage the daily commercial relationship with clients in your portfolio
  • Conduct prospective analysis, analyze client needs and potential commercial opportunities
  • Collaborate with various company departments to ensure referencing and activation of Mattel ranges
  • Develop, optimize, and execute sales plans consistent with Mattel's commercial and marketing strategy
  • Identify consumption and e-commerce trends to promote company performance and implement initiatives and action plans
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to transform Mattel's presence and activation, especially in the e-commerce channel
  • Actively contribute to the activity planning process, particularly by defining sales forecasts
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to inform buyers of product availability and delivery times
  • Participate in the negotiation and implementation of commercial agreements
  • Monitor key performance indicators to achieve objectives and accelerate business growth and market share
  • Collaborate with finance to manage and track the budget allocated to the client portfolio
  • Represent Mattel and convey the company's values and culture during internal and external meetings
  • Represent the company at trade shows and showroom visits

Job Description

Main missions of the position

Mobilize and develop the sales team to achieve the company's qualitative and quantitative objectives in compliance with the brand activation strategy and commercial policy.

Take charge of managing national client accounts by identifying commercial opportunities that allow for increased client penetration or create added value for Mattel's iconic brands, while ensuring a financially performing commercial relationship within your client portfolio.

Position based in Paris.

Main responsibilities

1. Management of a sales force team

  • Define regional objectives and allocate them by sector
  • Present objectives to the sales force and ensure follow-up
  • Prepare and lead meetings
  • Relay to the team the commercial conditions and strategy implemented with the various brands
  • Develop and analyze dashboards, ensure reporting, and make recommendations to Senior Sales Managers to develop revenue
  • Propose and build specific commercial actions, such as challenges
  • Ensure communication between the sales force, Commercial Management, and all company departments
  • Support the sales team in negotiations and in handling certain disputes
  • Increase the performance of the sales team by developing individual skills and collective dynamics, notably through annual performance and development reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations regarding commercial practices, work organization, and safety.
  • Define sectorization

2. Client account management

  • Manage the daily commercial relationship with clients in your portfolio
  • Conduct a prospective approach, analyze client needs and potential commercial opportunities, involve various stakeholders, and provide them with convincing rational elements for a future commercial relationship.
  • Collaborate with various company departments to ensure the referencing and activation of Mattel ranges
  • Develop, optimize, and execute sales plans consistent with Mattel's commercial and marketing strategy by being the expert in client needs, analyzing client needs and commercial results, and maximizing commercial opportunities
  • Identify consumption and e-commerce trends to promote company performance and implement initiatives and action plans.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to transform Mattel's presence and activation, particularly in the e-commerce channel, into a service increasingly focused on the consumer and the brand.
  • Actively contribute to the activity planning process, notably by defining sales forecasts consistent with referencing and promotional activities
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to inform buyers of product availability and delivery times.
  • Participate in the negotiation and implementation of commercial agreements
  • Monitor key performance indicators to achieve objectives and accelerate business growth and market share.
  • Collaborate with finance to manage and track the budget allocated to the client portfolio for which you are responsible, respecting budget lines
  • Represent Mattel and convey the company's values and culture during internal and external meetings.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and showroom visits.

Qualifications

  • Sales and negotiation skills in an international environment, preferably acquired in an international company with high seasonality.
  • Analytical skills and results-oriented
  • Ability to promote collaboration, innovation, and execution
  • Ability to build successful teamwork and work in a dynamic environment with deadlines
  • Ease in connecting with different departments and stakeholders to seize all opportunities (buyers, marketing, trade marketing).
  • Manage and unite a team,
  • Good influence and communication skills, highly competitive spirit, and customer orientation.
  • Proactivity, positive and innovative spirit, and ability to challenge the status quo
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent French and English.
  • Excellent office skills, especially Excel

Experiences

  • Business or Marketing School Diploma
  • Fluent in English and French, both oral and written.
  • Proven team management experience
  • Proven commercial negotiation experience
  • Experience in key account management and category development.
  • Strategic vision and ability to define clear directions.
  • Recognized leadership, capable of uniting and developing teams.
  • Business vision and results-oriented.
  • Ability to build a strategy while ensuring exemplary local execution.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Collaborative spirit
  • Ability to make effective and quick decisions
  • Commercial/Marketing experience, ideally in an international environment and in highly seasonal markets.
  • Position based in Paris.
