Job Description

As a Security Engineering Manager, you will work with DMG's engineering and product management teams to ensure that the product platform is secure, safe, and reliable. You will be responsible for the product security, supporting DMG's growth while protecting the platform and its assets. You'll oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for application security, ensuring security resources align with business needs. You will also manage and report on security engineering KPIs and metrics and work with the engineering team to securely design and implement new products and features. You will also advocate for security best practices across the organization. This role involves leading a team and contributing to the overall security posture of the company.
Must have:
  • Extensive security engineering background with infrastructure security.
  • Understanding of Information Security policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Experience managing information security initiatives and programs.
  • Leadership experience managing geographically distributed teams.
  • Certifications in IT or cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
  • AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Track record as an influential leader.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Engineering Manager to join our team. As the Security Engineering Manager, you will work with DMGÕs engineering and product management teams to ensure that our product platform is secure, safe, and reliable.

What You'll Do:

  • As a strategic leader, you will have direct responsibility for our product security.
  • You will directly support DMGÕs growth while guarding the platform and its assets, our people and our processes.
  • Inform and oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for application security.
  • Ensure that security resources and practices align to business needs, priorities and requirements.
  • Ownership of the product security roadmap and seek alignment with stakeholders.
  • Manage and report on security engineering KPIs and metrics.
  • Help identify DMGÕs internal and external attack surface in a dynamic environment.
  • Work closely with our engineering team to securely design and implement new products and features.
  • Operate as an integral member of the engineering team and advocate for security best practices across the organization.

What You Need:

  • Extensive security engineering background, with expertise and knowledge in infrastructure security concepts, web application security, encryption, and penetration/vulnerability tools.
  • Understanding of Information Security policies, procedures, privacy rules & regulations.
  • Experience managing multiple and simultaneous, significant information security initiatives and programs.
  • Leadership experience managing geographically distributed teams.
  • Certifications in IT or cybersecurity (e.g CISSP, CISM, GSLC, OSCE).
  • AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Demonstrable track record as an influential leader, delivering security solutions with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to manage the stress of a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.
