Behaviour Interactive is seeking a Senior Audio Programmer to join the Dead by Daylight team. This role involves managing the technical aspects of the sound design pipeline, collaborating with the Audio Director and sound designers, developing new systems, improving existing pipelines, and troubleshooting issues related to sound banks, leaks, voice usage, and performance/memory optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience with the full game production cycle, strong Unreal 5 and Wwise proficiency, and excellent C++ skills. They will be passionate about high-quality audio and capable of adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role requires close collaboration with various teams including programming, game design, art, and animation, within a game as a service (GaaS) environment.

Behaviour is looking for a Senior Audio Programmer to fill a new critical role on Dead by Daylight.  Dead by Daylight (DbD) is a game as a service (GaaS), and the systems team is part of a larger production that includes other programming teams, game design, art, animation, and other disciplines.

As a Senior Audio Programmer, you will play a crucial role in the technical management of the audio pipeline for Dead by Daylight. You will collaborate with the Audio Director and sound designers to achieve the development vision. You will develop new systems, improve existing pipelines, and solve technical issues to elevate the game's audio quality, we use Wwise as our audio solution.

In this role you will:

    • Manage the technical aspect of the sound design pipeline for Dead by Daylight in collaboration with the audio director; 
    • Collaborate closely with sound designers to help them achieve their medium and long-term development vision; 
    • Conduct research and develop new systems that support sound design in the game; 
    • Improve current system pipelines related to sound design; 
    • Solve problems related to sound design in the game, such as downloading sound banks, sound element leaks, voice usage, and improving performance and memory usage. 

What we’re looking for:

    • Experience with the entire production cycle for multiple video games, from preproduction to live operations; 
    • Comfortable with audio programming in a game; 
    • Strong experience with Unreal 5 and Wwise;
    • Proficient with C++; 
    • A person passionate about "high quality audio"; 
    • Ability to adapt to changes and work under pressure while meeting agreed deadlines.

Dead by Daylight (DbD) est un jeu en tant que service (GaaS), et l'équipe système fait partie d'une production plus vaste qui comprend d'autres équipes de programmation, de conception de jeux, d'art, d'animation et d'autres disciplines.

En tant que Programmeur·euse Audio Sénior·e, vous jouerez un rôle crucial dans la gestion technique du pipeline audio de Dead by Daylight. Vous collaborerez avec le directeur audio et les concepteurs·trices sonores pour atteindre "la vision de développement". Vous développerez de nouveaux systèmes, améliorerez les pipelines existants et résoudrez des problèmes techniques pour élever la qualité audio du jeu, nous utilisons Wwise comme solution audio.
