Associate Producer (Contract)

Job Summary
The Associate Producer supports scheduling and day-to-day production for Santa Monica Studio's internal development team on a new unannounced title. This role involves building and maintaining project plans, tracking progress, managing resources and budget, and ensuring effective communication with internal and external partners.
Must Have
- Own phases or portions of product development from design through final approval
- Apply production knowledge to support creative partners, support new technologies, and track progress
- Keep project on schedule and within budget; maintain and update team tasking
- Communicate effectively with internal team members, consultants, and external partners
- Break down large or complex tasks into clear, actionable steps
- Assess the impact of creative changes on schedule and resources
- Identify all key stakeholders, gather input, and follow-through on decisions
- Partner with Lead Producer to plan resources and resolve issues
- Build strong cross-functional relationships, foster collaboration
- Provide feedback on team members to managers; escalate any personnel issues as needed
- Ensure compliance with SIE production processes and company policies

- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Hansoft, Microsoft Office (Project and Excel), Bug tracking databases (JIRA, DevTrack), Perforce
- Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM, and traditional production methodologies
- Clear and adaptable communication skills – both verbal and written
- Self-starter, able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of game industry trends and passion for game development
- 3+ years of game production experience with at least one shipped title as Associate Producer or higher
- Experience working in AAA games
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills and experience
