Job Description

The Senior Automation QA Engineer will be responsible for hands-on experience in QA and automation processes including Sanity, Smoke, Functional, Regression, and Browser Compatibility testing. They will prepare test strategies, cases, and reports, set up test data, and analyze requirements. They will also conduct root cause analysis, track test coverage, and mentor new team members. The role involves designing and developing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar, interacting with clients, collaborating with teams, executing automated tests, integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines, documenting test cases, and performing root cause analysis on failures. The candidate should have experience in Agile/Waterfall methodologies and be conversant with SDLC and STLC.

Must Have:

3+ years of hands-on QA and automation experience.
Experience in various testing types (Sanity, Smoke, Functional, etc.).
Ability to analyze requirements and create test cases.
Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, etc.
Experience with Agile/Waterfall methodologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in different QA and automation process and Software testing like Sanity testing, Smoke testing, Functional testing, Regression Testing, Browser Compatibility (Cross browser) Testing, Integration testing and Migration testing and should have good control on the following QA processPreparation of Test Strategy, Test cases & Test Reports.
Test data setupIdentifying the test scenarios based on the understanding of the third party systems, Interfaces, and applicationAble to analyse the requirements. Generate and execute test cases from the requirements.
Conducting Root Cause analysis of the defects logged in UAT and Production.Tracking the test coverage through Traceability Matrix.Involved in mentoring the new joiners in the teamInvolved in effort estimationDesign and develop automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks.Interacting with client-side professionals for system study, requirements verification and analysis.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage.Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify issues and ensure application stability.Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.Document test cases, test results, and maintain test documentation.Perform root cause analysis on test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues.Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging automation trends.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.Should have hands on experience in Agile / Waterfall Methodologies and conversant with SDLC and STLC.
