Job Description

This role involves defining the channel strategy for France and ensuring its implementation at points of sale, differentiating by distribution channel (activations, merchandising, promotions, placements). The manager will provide market analysis and insights, identify growth opportunities, and develop new potential clients. Key responsibilities include defining circuit strategy, implementing customer marketing, playing a key role in the France Management Committee, strengthening in-store execution, developing client partnerships, ensuring coordination between sales and marketing, identifying new client partnerships, providing market insights, and managing the team.
Must Have:

  • Define and implement Customer Marketing strategy with distributors to develop Mattel brands.
  • Play a key role within the France Management Committee to develop strategy and set priorities.
  • Strengthen in-store execution to maximize the visibility and effectiveness of activations.
  • Develop a trusted partnership with clients, based on a categorical vision and plans adapted to each client.
  • Ensure fluid coordination between Sales and Marketing teams to guarantee quality in-store execution.
  • Identify and create partnerships with new potential clients (service stations, travel retail, etc.).
  • Provide Mattel teams with analysis and insights to support market understanding and decision-making.
  • Manage and support the team.
  • Business School Diploma in Sales or Marketing.
  • Fluent in English and French, both oral and written.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, including significant experience in a senior development and marketing role.
  • Proven experience in team management.
  • Strong experience in commercial execution at point of sale (retail execution).
  • Experience in key account management and category development.
  • Strategic vision and ability to define clear directions.
  • Recognized leadership, capable of uniting and developing teams.
  • Business vision and results-oriented.
  • Ability to build a strategy while ensuring exemplary local execution.

Main Missions

You will be responsible for defining the channel strategy for France and ensuring its implementation at points of sale, guaranteeing differentiation by distribution channel (activations, merchandising, promotions, placements, etc.).

You will be responsible for providing market analysis and insights, identifying growth opportunities ("white spaces") and developing new potential clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the circuit strategy for France (commercial orientations and priorities): based on consumer and client insights, clarify the role of each circuit and identify actions to be implemented.
  • Define and implement the Customer Marketing strategy with distributors to develop Mattel brands.
  • Play a key role within the France Management Committee to develop strategy and set priorities.
  • Strengthen in-store execution to maximize the visibility and effectiveness of activations.
  • Develop a trusted partnership with clients, based on a categorical vision and plans adapted to each client.
  • Ensure fluid coordination between Sales and Marketing teams to guarantee quality in-store execution (merchandising, promotions, catalogs, assortments, ad hoc partnerships).
  • Identify and create partnerships with new potential clients (service stations, travel retail, etc.).
  • Provide Mattel teams with analysis and insights to support market understanding and decision-making.
  • Manage and support the team.

Qualifications

Required skills for the position

  • Business School Diploma in Sales or Marketing.
  • Fluent in English and French, both oral and written.
