Senior Data Engineer

GoDaddy is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and manage reliable batch and streaming data pipelines using Python on AWS. The role involves modeling, cataloging, and optimizing data in a data lake/lakehouse environment, creating Airflow DAGs, and implementing event-driven architectures. The engineer will work with stakeholders to develop scalable data solutions, ensuring data quality, observability, and compliance.

Must Have

• 4+ years of experience in Data engineering, using Python for data pipelines.
• Deep experience with AWS analytics tools and advanced SQL skills, including performance and cost optimization.
• Proven track record with batch and streaming pipelines and Airflow orchestration in production.
• Strong skills in data modeling for analytics/products and event-driven processing patterns (CDC, schema management, deduplication, ordering).
• Proficiency in CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.

Good to Have

• Experience with Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Skills in data observability, alerting, and cost/performance optimization at scale.
• Experience building data contracts, API/event versioning with product and engineering teams.
