(Senior) Engineer Artificial Intelligence (f/m/div)

Infineon is seeking a (Senior) Engineer Artificial Intelligence to develop and apply AI models, particularly in embedded systems. The role requires a solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, Python programming, and experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Responsibilities include data preprocessing, feature extraction, and exploring emerging AI domains such as generative AI. Candidates should have a background in Computer Science or related fields and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

Must Have

• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including common algorithms, model training and evaluation techniques
• Experience with Python programming and at least one AI/ML framework (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers, with interest in applying AI models on resource‑constrained devices
• Exposure to data science concepts such as data preprocessing, feature extraction, and exploratory analysis
• Curiosity and willingness to explore emerging AI domains such as generative AI (e.g. LangChain, LLM APIs)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related field

Good to Have

• Internship or academic project experience in AI/ML, data science or embedded software considered an advantage
