We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team within Game Production domain in Shared Tech. This role is based in Barcelona, Stockholm or Malmö.
Your Role within the Kingdom
As a Senior Engineering Manager in Foundation, your responsibility is to lead and empower a team that builds the core capabilities of our Game Production platform. Your team provides the architectural backbone that enables game developers across King to deliver world-class experiences efficiently and reliably.
This role has a particular emphasis on test automation and quality enablement, ensuring that our engine and tools are robust, maintainable, and scalable. You’ll help define and execute the strategy for automated testing frameworks, continuous integration, and quality practices that underpin our development ecosystem.
You will collaborate closely with other Shared Tech teams, game teams, and infrastructure groups, shaping how we design, test, and deliver our production technology at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of passionate engineers working on the Foundation layer of the engine/SDK.
- Drive technical strategy and product direction for the Foundation area, with a strong focus on scalability, maintainability, and developer productivity.
- Champion test automation practices, establishing frameworks, pipelines, and tooling that improve confidence, speed, and reliability across our engine and SDK.
- Partner with Build & Infrastructure, Tools, and Platform teams to ensure a seamless developer workflow from code to production.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Shared Tech and game studios to understand needs and align deliverables with business value.
- Foster an engineering culture of quality, automation, and continuous improvement, ensuring testing and validation are built into everything we do.
- Grow and mentor engineers, supporting their development while building a healthy, high-performing team environment.
