We are seeking a senior leader, Experience Design (XD) for the Nordics, reporting to the VP Experience who is based in the UK, to join and manage our Nordics, Experience Design practice. As an XD Leader you will work within a talented, multi-disciplinary environment as a hands-on executive design leader, driving human-centered innovation and enterprise-scale experiences. Experience Design at Publicis Sapient is the bridge between business strategy and applied technology — we assemble industry-leading thinkers, designers, researchers, and strategists to deliver meaningful, holistic experiences for our clients and their customers and colleagues. You will have a bias towards visual design.

The Nordics XD Leader will be based in Copenhagen or Stockholm and from there will manage teams of incredibly talented design professionals who work in strategic partnership with clients to solve their most pressing business challenges. A key focus will be on raising the bar for global reputation, quality execution, and connecting the dots on topics like competency models, culture, DE&I, talent acquisition, and cross capability integration to maximize growth for teams and projects. However, we believe in hands-on leadership, so the successful candidate should also expect to get their hands dirty and dive in to support delivery of our most important programs.

A successful candidate will be a strong collaborator and cross-functional leader with the ability to connect across disciplines and capabilities ensuring the delivery of phenomenal digital experiences.

They know the ins and outs of design methodologies and have a track record of creating intuitive, engaging, scalable experiences that people want to use and they deliver unreasonably high-value outcomes for our clients. Responsibilities

• Lead the Experience Design community across Nordics
• Originating and shaping experience work to drive business transformation initiatives from inception through implementation, alongside Publicis Sapient’s proven digital transformation strategy, product and engineering teams.
• Set goals and standards for the XD craft, to deliver quality work and foster a healthy growth-minded environment.
• Guide product and systems design for creating stellar outcomes for people and businesses.
• Provide senior leadership oversight over multiple XD teams comprised of UX Design, Visual Design, Product Design, Communication Design and Production Design
• Be the cultural, quality and competency custodian of the craft, driving the growth and evolution of Experience Design. (Peer crafts are Customer Experience & Innovation Consulting, Research & Insights, Content Design, and Design Operations)
• Design and lead cross-disciplinary idea generation and client co-creation sessions, workshops and design sprints
• Champion design systems, data and AI best practices to create leading experience design work that scales.
• You’ll be expected to grow, develop, and execute Experience Design services across the region in collaboration with other capability leaders.
• Model the relationship for collaboration between Experience Design, Strategy, Product and Engineering capabilities
