Hasbro is seeking a driven and innovative Senior Manager, Accounting to join their Controllership team. This highly visible hybrid role involves leading and supporting accounting team members in daily tasks, focusing on global process improvement projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will also act as a key liaison for internal and external audits, provide timely feedback to third-party accounting support, and ensure compliance with new accounting standards. This role requires a strong work ethic and a collaborative leadership style.
Must have:

Good to have:
  • Minimum of 3 years of public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred)
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Blackline experience preferred
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered a plus
  • Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred

Would you like to use your accounting and finance experience in a highly visible role to make a difference? We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Accounting to join our Controllership team! In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting accounting team members in day-to-day tasks and focusing on global process improvement projects. Success in this role requires being driven and innovative, with a strong work ethic and a leadership style characterized by a straightforward style, approachability, a team orientation, and collaboration!

This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to work onsite 3 days per week.

A day in the life of the Senior, Manager Accounting:

  • Lead the day-to-day accounting of general ledger accounting activities within the Controllership Organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand accounting processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities, including but not limited to process enhancements, system implementations, etc.
  • Act as a key liaison with internal and external auditors to assist in their completion of an efficient audit.
  • Work proactively with and provide timely feedback with 3rd party accounting support.
  • Understand new accounting standards, and in partnership with the Technical Accounting team, assess process and control implications.
  • Provide overall support and analysis to executive management by investigating accounting questions, issues, and judgments and by partnering with team members from other business divisions to assist with accounting questions.
  • Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting implications.
  • Monitor compliance dashboards and communicate status, risks and opportunities to the Controllership organization leaders.

What you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility.
  • A minimum of 3 years of public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred).
  • Experience with a large ERP system (SAP and Blackline experience preferred)
  • Must possess a deep technical knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting; Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in the development of staff and others toward improved skills, independence, and self-initiative.
  • Ability to earn trust and credibility within the organization, and capable of developing effective business relationships with all members of the global accounting organization leadership team.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound business decisions.

The base salary range for this position is $119,300.00 to $178,900.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
