Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and creative Partner Network Sr. Manager, Audience Engagement for Yahoo Sports. This role involves strengthening and scaling relationships with key content partners, ensuring their coverage drives reach and engagement across platforms. You will be the daily point of contact for top-tier partners, coordinating internal teams (video, social, creative, editorial) to amplify partner content across Yahoo's ecosystem, both on and off platforms. The position focuses on content planning, editorial collaboration, cross-functional activation, and performance reporting to optimize partner content visibility and impact.

Overview

We’re looking for a strategic and creative Partner Network Sr. Manager, Audience Engagement to help strengthen and scale our relationships with key content partners across Yahoo Sports. This role sits at the intersection of content, product, and audience engagement to ensure our partners’ coverage, from major sporting events to breaking news moments, comes to life across platforms in ways that drive reach, engagement, and results.

You’ll serve as the daily point of contact for top-tier content partners across a variety of sports and genres to understand their editorial priorities, coordinate internal teams (video, social, creative, editorial), and ensure that the stories coming from the network are surfaced, supported, and amplified across our ecosystem, both on and off platforms.

Position is remote or hybrid at select offices if desired (CA/NY)

Responsibilities

  • Partner Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison for a portfolio of key content partners. Build and maintain trusted relationships through proactive, daily communication
  • Content Planning & Coordination: Stay informed on partners’ upcoming editorial calendars, including live events, sports coverage, and breaking news opportunities
  • Editorial Collaboration: Work closely with internal programming teams to align coverage priorities, ensuring partner content is featured effectively across the platform
  • Cross-Functional Activation: Collaborate with editorial, creative, video, social and product teams to develop unique, multi-format coverage packages that highlight partner content in innovative ways
  • Performance Reporting: Generate post-event recaps, partnership reports, and engagement summaries that showcase the impact of coverage and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Trend Awareness: Monitor cultural moments, trending topics, and audience engagement data to identify opportunities for real-time content collaboration
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain documentation, trackers, and workflows to ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and external partners
  • Management: Manage a small team of contractors dedicated to the programming and curation of key on platform destinations for the Partner Network

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in content partnerships, editorial programming, or digital media account management
  • Strong understanding of online publishing, sports, entertainment, or news ecosystems
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills adept at working with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Experience with content performance analytics and translating data into actionable insights
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A creative eye and enthusiasm for identifying new ways to bring partner content to life across platforms

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
