Job Description

Oura is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations to join their team in San Francisco. This hybrid role involves shaping corporate strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and evolving the business model. The successful candidate will conduct market research, perform competitive analysis, develop business cases, and manage strategic initiatives. This role requires a customer-first mindset and a background in finance or strategy, ideally in health, consumer tech, or CPG, to help Oura transform the future of health.
Must Have:
  • Shape and evolve Oura's corporate strategy.
  • Help set near and long-term strategic priorities.
  • Explore new ways for Oura to create value for members.
  • Perform in-depth market research and identify emerging trends.
  • Assess strategic implications and business impact of trends.
  • Perform detailed market sizing and competitive analysis.
  • Develop business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships and drive consensus with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify capabilities required to deliver the long-range plan.
  • Build frameworks and an M&A pipeline for Corporate Development.
  • Manage portfolio of strategic initiatives and maximize business impact.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and strategic updates.
  • Contribute to the Strategy & Operations team's roadmap and capabilities.
  • 7-9+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, or high-performing strategy.
  • Proven experience working with executive leadership in a strategy or Chief of Staff role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Financial modeling capabilities (e.g., Excel).
  • Ability to build simple but impactful presentations for executive audiences.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity with effective prioritization.
  • Out of the box, creative problem solving.
  • Familiarity and a passion for health & wellness products and experiences, healthcare, and digital health space.

You’ll build work with our leadership team to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, shaping our long-term strategy. This role is for curious problem-solvers with a customer-first mindset and a background in finance or strategy, ideally in health, consumer tech, or CPG.

What you’ll do:

  • Shape and evolve Oura's corporate strategy and help set near and long-term strategic priorities in support of our long-term vision
  • Explore new ways for Oura to create value for our members and inform leadership’s thinking on opportunities to evolve our business model
  • Perform in-depth market research and identify emerging trends, opportunities and threats in the digital and personal health landscape
  • Assess the strategic implications and business impact of these emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive threats
  • Perform detailed market sizing, competitive analysis, and assess the strategic fit of new growth opportunities with Oura's long-range plan
  • Develop business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives, quantifying potential impact and investment requirements
  • Build strong relationships and drive consensus with cross-functional teams and leaders on strategic growth and operational opportunities
  • Identify capabilities required to deliver our long-range plan, and build frameworks and an M&A pipeline to support Corporate Development
  • Manage our portfolio of strategic initiatives, identify risks and make sure we're investing resources and capital to maximize business impact
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and strategic performance updates to the broader executive leadership team
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the Strategy & Operations team's roadmap, methodologies, and analytical capabilities

This opportunity will be hybrid out of our San Francisco office.

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • 7-9+ years of professional experience at a management consulting firm, investment bank or working in a high-performing strategy team
  • Proven experience working with executive leadership in a strategy, Chief of Staff, or similar high-impact role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, financial modeling capabilities (e.g., Excel) and the ability to build simple but impactful presentations for executive audiences
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity with effective prioritization and out of the box, creative problem solving
  • Familiarity and a passion for health & wellness products and experiences, healthcare and the digital health space

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
