Senior NOC - Render Wrangler

As a Senior NOC - Render Wrangler at Skydance Animation Madrid, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing the rendering processes on the farm and its underlying infrastructure, ensuring all systems perform at full capacity. This role also involves supporting the network operations center by troubleshooting, coordinating, and maintaining service reliability across render and infrastructure environments. You will manage production jobs, report issues, assist artists, and monitor system/network performance, escalating issues as needed.

Must Have

• Manage jobs following production’s needs
• Report any issues or error using monitoring tools
• Offer help and assistance to the artists
• Monitor system and network performance and escalate issues based on severity levels
• Utilize ticketing systems (Jira, ManageEngine) to track and resolve incidents
• Configure and maintain dashboards in Grafana, LogicMonitor, or Datadog (as applicable)
• Assist other team members when necessary
• Follow supervisor’s and lead’s guidance
• +5 years of professional experience
• Understanding of feature film production processes
• Experience with Maya, Arnold, Houdini, and Nuke
• Basic understanding of system administration tools and processes
• Knowledge of farm managing software such as Deadline, Tractor, or Qube
• Windows Server knowledge
• Networking understanding and troubleshooting
• Linux proficiency
• Experience in troubleshooting by severity levels
• Understanding of ticketing tools (Jira, ManageEngine)
• Advanced understanding of infrastructure topology
• High English level

Good to Have

• Experience in VFX or animation industries
• Experience with other software (besides Maya, Arnold, Houdini, Nuke)
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python
• CCNA desired
• Experience configuring dashboards in Grafana, LogicMonitor, or Datadog
