Description: External Wafer Manufacturing team works with external foundries to ensure stable chip supply for business lines across NXP. The primary responsibility of this role is to locally drive yield enhancement for lead products under new technology introduction (NTI), and within foundry process transfers and new fab enablement.
More specifically:
- Develop yield monitoring methodologies, yield infrastructure to facilitate automated yield tracking and yield analysis
- Work with the NXP technology and product teams to develop overall yield enhancement strategies for products tied to new technology introductions.
- Assess yield enhancement needs across the corporation to determine where focus is needed to meet business goals. Strongly influence internal organizations and foundries to apply adequate resources to meet the identified needs, and drive proven yield enhancement methodologies across internal and external organizations.
- Interact with and drive foundries to enhance yield at targeted rate. Must understand process, device, design and test limitations for multiple products across multiple technology nodes.
- Generate and standardise yield enhancement Best Known Methods across different technology platforms.
- Closely interact with the NXP technology and product teams across the world, as well as with the semiconductor foundries in Asia to meet the corporate yield enhancement goals.
Requirements / Preferences:
- Minimum M.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
- Minimum 10 years of semiconductor experience in yield enhancement or similar area
- Must be fluent in English and Mandarin
- Strong understanding of yield enhancement techniques and data analysis
- Strong understanding of failure analysis techniques
- Good understanding of SoC architecture and product test patterns
- Experience in setting yield management system, coding language, familiar with database structure will be a plus
