Job Summary

Must Have
- Design, implement, and test software for medical systems.
- Ensure software reliability, efficiency, user-friendliness, and maintainability according to medical quality and coding standards.
- Implement class, unit integration, and unit tests for designed modules/components.
- Contribute to the quality and long-term maintainability (10+ years) of the software stack.
- Perform work in-line with processes/quality system.
- Contribute to unit interfaces (SW) in consultation with relevant disciplines.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and Agile/Safe/Scrum processes.
- Strong working experience in C++.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, GIT/ADS/SOLID principles, and (unit) testing.
- Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, V-model) and the full software development lifecycle.
- Ability to analyze root causes of problems and provide evidence.
- Ability to find existing (legacy) code a positive challenge.
- Ability to think in risks for proposed solutions.

Job Description
In this role, you are responsible for the design and implementation and test of software for use within medical systems.
Key Responsibility Area:
- Design and implementation of software (on component or module level)—understand and communicate consequences of your design on the architecture and influence design specification.
- Design software based on design specifications in accordance, to ensure that the software will be reliable, efficient, user-friendly, easy to maintain and meet the (medical) quality and coding standards.
- Implement class, unit integration and unit tests for the designed modules or components.
- Contribute to the quality and maintainability of our software stack which has to be maintained for a long time (10+ years).
- Perform work in-line with processes/quality system.
- Contributing to the unit interfaces (SW), in close consultation with relevant disciplines.
- Initiatives and active participation for continuous improvement and Agile / Safe / Scrum process.
Key Skills/Competencies
- Bachelor/Master of Engineering in the field of Computer Science/ Electronics and Communication or equivalent
- At least years’ experience in software design and development
- Strong working experience of C++
- Experience object-oriented programming, GIT / ADS / SOLID principles and (unit) testing
- Experience with software development methodologies such as agile (SAFE), scrum and the V-model
- Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, test, and integration
- Ability to analyze the root cause of a problem and deliver evidence for the root cause and it side effects.
- Ability to find existing (legacy) code a positive challenge.
- Ability to think in risks for the proposed solution (including where to solve it)
