Job Responsibilities
- Design rendering solutions, write Shaders, and implement art effects with artists and engine programmers.
- Design art resource specifications to ensure project art assets are executed according to specifications.
- Perform game performance profiling and design optimization solutions.
- Work with artists and engine programmers to solve problems encountered during daily use of tools and engines.
- Identify problems in the art pipeline and develop tools to improve art workflow efficiency.
- Research and develop new tools and new features for game engines with artists and engine programmers, develop example projects, and promote technical applications.
Job Requirements
- Solid art foundation: good understanding of structure, light, color, material, etc.
- Familiar with common art tools: such as Houdini or Blender, 3dMax or Maya, Substance.
- Familiar with scripting languages: Python, Vex at least one, with plugin tool development experience.
- Familiar with Shader languages: Cg, GLSL, HLSL at least one.
- Familiar with common rendering algorithms, computer graphics.
- Familiar with C#, C++ programming languages.
- Proficient in Unreal Engine.
- Proficient in profiling tools: GPA, Adreno Profiler, RenderDoc, Debugger at least one.
- Proficient in character art production pipeline in games, proficient in rendering techniques for character skin, hair, cloth, etc.
- Excellent team communication and collaboration skills, able to adapt to new creative challenges, willing to help and share.
- Fluent English communication skills.
