Senior Toxicologist

J.S. Held is a global consulting firm seeking a Senior Toxicologist to provide expert analysis and consulting on human health risk, chemical exposure, product safety, and regulatory compliance. The role involves reviewing toxicological data, serving as a subject matter expert, maintaining client relationships, and developing proposals. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Toxicology and at least 5 years of experience managing complex toxicology projects.

Must Have

• Provide expert toxicological analysis and consulting
• Review and interpret toxicological data, exposure assessments, and risk evaluations
• Serve as a subject matter expert in litigation support and regulatory
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, and pricing strategies
• Ph.D. in Toxicology or board certification if Ph.D. is in a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing complex toxicology projects
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., REACH, CLP, OSHA, EPA)
• Proven success in client relationship management
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong technical writing skills
• High attention to detail and enjoys working on a variety of different projects simultaneously

Job Description

• Not expected to serve as a testifying expert.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Toxicology or board certification if the Ph.D. is in a related field.

• A consulting background is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., REACH, CLP, OSHA, EPA, etc.).

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
