Job Summary
As an Analyst Intern on The Sims franchise at Electronic Arts, you will join the Data & Insights team in Vancouver. This hybrid role involves working with player behavioral data to generate insights and build models that inform game design, feature prioritization, and product development. You will track key game performance metrics, evaluate live service events, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance player experience and drive revenue, reporting to a Senior Analyst.
Must Have
- Help the Maxis Analytics team understand and track key game performance metrics such as acquisition, engagement, retention and monetization.
- Support our data team’s strategy of building and productionalizing data products that improve the player experience.
- Evaluate the impact of live service events, content updates and marketing campaigns.
- Through data analysis, proactively find new opportunities to improve the player experience, improve acquisition, and drive incremental revenue.
- Influence business decisions and product strategy through fact-based, data-driven insights and analysis.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics.
- Strong practical experience with SQL (able to write aggregations, joins, window functions).
- Familiarity with at least one programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts (probability, correlation, regression, classification).
- Experience working with large datasets (coursework, research, or internships).
- Must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2026.
- Undergrad students enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 16-week internship.

- Experience with product analytics concepts (e.g., funnels, retention, engagement).
- Experience with experiment design, execution, and interpretation.
- Experience with machine learning and other AI methodologies.
- Fan of The Sims™.

We drive strategy, build data and AI tools, and support personalization, experimentation, and analytics. The Role
As an Analyst Intern on The Sims franchise, you’ll work with massive volumes of player behavioral data to deliver insights and build models that inform game design, feature prioritization, and product development.
You’ll join a group of experienced analysts as a member of the embedded-and-dedicated analytics team and work closely with a large but tight-knit studio of enthusiastic industry craftspeople from all walks of life.
This is a hybrid remote/in-office role based in Vancouver. You will report into a Senior Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Help the Maxis Analytics team understand and track key game performance metrics such as acquisition, engagement, retention and monetization.
- Support our data team’s strategy of building and productionalizing data products that improve the player experience. You will use your demonstrated experience building, validating and deploying predictive models and algorithms to address real-world problems.
- Evaluate the impact of live service events, content updates and marketing campaigns. Establish benchmarks and provide projections during the planning phases; perform analysis to inform retrospectives; make recommendations for feature and content improvement.
- Through data analysis, proactively find new opportunities to improve the player experience, improve acquisition, and drive incremental revenue.
- Influence business decisions and product strategy through fact-based, data-driven insights and analysis; serve as a change agent in Maxis' transition to becoming a more data informed studio.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
PAY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$60,000 - $65,000 CAD
