Job Description

Mimecast is seeking an SMB Associate Account Manager focused on renewals to drive customer retention and revenue growth within the cybersecurity sector. The role involves building strong customer relationships, managing and closing renewal opportunities, and identifying upsell prospects for additional seats or product upgrades. You will collaborate with sales teams and the Customer Success Team to resolve issues and improve customer adoption. Key responsibilities include forecasting renewal risks and opportunities, and prioritizing renewal activities with channel partners. The ideal candidate will have a customer-first attitude, proven experience in account management or sales (SaaS/tech preferred), strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do – Make Every Renewal Count

  • Keep Customers for Life: Drive customer retention by building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction
  • Secure Renewals on Time: Manage and close renewal opportunities, ensuring accurate and timely bookings
  • Grow Revenue: Identify upsell opportunities – from additional seats to product upgrades – to maximize customer value
  • Work Smarter with Sales: Collaborate with sales teams on programmatic upsell opportunities during renewals
  • Be the Partner Customers Trust: Work with our Customer Success Team to resolve issues and improve adoption
  • Think Ahead: Forecast renewal risks and opportunities to support business planning
  • Champion Our Partners: Prioritize renewal activities with channel partners to ensure seamless execution
