Software Engineer Frontend (m/f/d) - Alocai

Alocai is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to develop scalable, responsive interfaces for its AI-driven video game localization platform. This role involves designing and implementing user-facing features, translating designs into high-quality code, and ensuring reliability through testing. The engineer will work collaboratively with product managers and UX designers, contributing to innovation and user engagement across Alocai's products, including the Alocai Platform and ModelWiz.

Must Have

• Develop and maintain user-facing features, from components design to workflow
• Translate designs and wireframes into well-designed, testable, and scalable code
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Review other engineers' work for code quality and design implementations
• Learn and implement upcoming technologies for products
• 3-5 years of professional frontend software development experience
• Experience driving software projects (design, implementation, deployment)
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, etc.)
• Experience with common frontend development tools (Babel, Webpack, NPM)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs
• Proficient in using Git as version control system
• Understanding of web performance optimization

Good to Have

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Sentry, LogRocket, DataDog)
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms (JSON Web Token)
• DevOps experience (Docker, Bitbucket pipelines, AWS)

We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our platform development team. In this role, you will use your expertise to build delightful user interfaces, from conception through to execution. You will thrive in a cooperative team environment and will enjoy working through complex and ambiguous problems, collaboratively with other engineers, product managers, and UX designers. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, good teamwork and communication skills and sophisticated and scalable design is important.

YOUR ROLE

• Develop and maintain user-facing features. From components design to their entire workflow.
• Translate designs and wireframes into well-designed, testable, and scalable code.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Review other engineers' work. Evaluate code quality, design implementations and product requirements for fulfilment.
• Learn and implement upcoming technologies for our products.

##### Your profile

• English language proficiency
• 3-5 years of professional frontend software development experience
• Experience driving software projects, including design, implementation, and deployment.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS.
• Experience and thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, or others).
• Experience with common frontend development tools such as Babel, Webpack and NPM.
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript.
• Experience and good understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in using Git as version control system.
• Understanding of web performance optimization.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
• Curious and self-researching about new technologies.

NICE TO HAVE
