We are seeking a Software Engineer to enhance localization capabilities for Autodesk products and content. This role involves collaborating with development teams to build scalable, efficient localization tools and processes for global users. The successful candidate will be a full-stack developer with experience in service development, process automation, and technical support, working to improve localization engineering workflows and ensure smooth production of localized products.

  • Provide second-level technical support to localization vendor engineering teams.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help enhance localization capabilities for Autodesk products and content. This role involves close collaboration with software and content development teams to build scalable, efficient localization tools and processes that support global users.

You’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of systems that enable smooth production of localized products. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who bring unique perspectives and experiences to our team.

The successful candidate will be a full stack developer with experience in service development, process automation, and technical support. You’ll work closely with internal Autodesk teams and external partners, applying strong analytical and communication skills to improve localization engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain tools, automated processes, and documentation to support scalable software localization and testing
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to anticipate future localization needs
  • Collaborate on the design, development, and deployment of innovative solutions for delivering localized products
  • Evaluate products for international readiness, especially web/mobile applications and cloud services, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Partner with development teams to enhance globalization strategies, ensuring a high-quality international user experience while optimizing stability and cost
  • Provide second-level technical support to localization vendor engineering teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in web and mobile development
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Scala, Java, Akka, Slick, Python, JavaScript, C++, C#, QT, or Perl
  • Experience with microservices architecture and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana)
  • Understanding of internationalization and localization for web and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL), Content Management Systems, and localization tools (e.g., Passolo, WorldServer, Memsource)
  • Knowledge of process automation and workflow optimization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or similar is a plus
  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies is a plus
