The Splunk Field Marketing team is a dynamic, results-driven group responsible for building strong APJC marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and demand for Splunk’s groundbreaking solutions. Collaborating closely with sales, product marketing, and partners, the team creates impactful, localised campaigns, events, and programs that resonate with target audiences and fuel pipeline growth. We are seeking a strategic and driven marketing professional to join our team as the Senior Field Marketing Manager for Japan. You will be responsible for developing and executing impactful marketing programs to support customer acquisition, expansion, and pipeline growth across Japan. As a vital member of the APJC marketing team, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery and measurable outcome for your region.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Marketing Planning:

  • Support planning and execution of integrated field marketing programs aimed at driving customer acquisition, expansion, and pipeline growth. Programs include Splunk-led events, regional sponsorships, executive engagements, C-level thought leadership, hands-on workshops, and webinars.
  • Collaborate with APJC cross-functional marketing teams to align marketing strategies with regional priorities and deliver impactful outcomes for the Japan market.
  • Support the Head of Marketing (Japan) in fostering partnership with Demand Generation (Digital Sales) team to optimise conversion of marketing leads to Marketing Converted Pipeline (MCP).

Cross Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Head of Marketing (Japan) and channel leaders to ensure optimal allocation and utilisation of MDF funds (through partners and with partners) in Japan.
  • Foster strong collaboration with APJC regional, global corporate, and local teams to achieve impactful results from Splunk global or regional field marketing programs

Analysis & Decision Making:

  • Assess marketing metrics related to pipeline growth, executive engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness and provide on-going insights to Head of Marketing (Japan).
  • Use data insights to enhance program effectiveness and ensure field marketing activities are delivered on time and within budget across Japan.
  • Support communication of field marketing results and impact to key stakeholders Japan and APJC marketing.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other marketing resources in Japan to co-create integrated field marketing programs that include marquee field events, partner marketing, digital marketing, campaigns, and customer advocacy initiatives.
  • Foster a growth mindset within the team through teamwork and promoting innovative marketing approaches in Japan.
  • Encourage continuous improvement by experimenting with new marketing strategies, tools, and technologies to optimise business outcomes.

Budget Management:

o Manage field marketing budgets effectively, ensuring resources are prioritised for maximum impact under the guidance of Head of Marketing (Japan)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of B2B field marketing experience in Japan and experience in being a team leader (with be an advantage)
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in APJC to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and Tableau is preferred.
  • Competent English communication and written skills
