Job Description
The BIF team at Trend Micro's R&D group seeks a Senior Data Analyst to enhance its data foundation and provide BI analytics to management. The role involves analyzing commercial customer growth, churn, product performance, and customer behaviors using statistical models. The analyst will create business dashboards with tools like Tableau, ADX, and PowerBI, proactively identify key data questions, define metrics, and collaborate with functional groups to address business needs with actionable insights.
Must Have:
- Understand business context and analyze customer growth, churn, product performance, and behaviors using statistical models.
- Create business dashboards with Tableau, ADX, PowerBI to communicate performance, trends, and insights.
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions and define metrics for business performance.
- Collaborate with product management, sales, and field teams to develop metrics for business needs.
- At least 3+ years of working experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
- 2+ years of practical experience in full dashboard development lifecycle.
- Experience on Azure Data Explorer, connecting it with Power BI for reports.
- Experience with SQL Server DB, loading data to Tableau for reports.
- Familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL) or similar database query language.
- Familiarity with Power BI dataflows, data modeling, DAX queries, and level security.
- Strong analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good sense of understanding business data and a strong passion for learning data and business domains.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent English speaking/reading/writing skills.

Responsibility
- Understand the business context and use statistical models or similar techniques to analyze and interpret commercial customer growth, customer churn, product performance, and customer behaviors to the leadership team and management team.
- Use data visualization tools (i.e. tableau, ADX dashboard, PowerBI) to create business dashboards for management teams that effectively communicate business performance, trends, patterns cross sales revenue, product usage, and customer data with actionable business insight.
- Proactively analyze the data to answer key data questions for the leadership team and management team and define/create metrics to track business performance.
- Work closely with different functional groups, such as the product management group, sales operation group, the field teams to understand business cases and develop required metrics to address business needs.
Qualification/Requirement
- At least 3+ years of working experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
- 2+ years of practical experience in full dashboard development lifecycle from gathering business requirements, and design solutions via developing code/reports based on business needs, to testing, validating, and releasing.
- Experience on Azure Data Explorer, connect Azure Data Explorer with Power BI to generate reports.
- Experience with SQL Server DB, loading data from SQL Server DB to Tableau to generate reports.
- Familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL) or similar database query language for manipulating data.
- Familiarity with Power BI dataflows, data modeling, DAX queries, and level security.
- A strong analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving with attention to detail and and accuracy.
- Good sense of understanding business data and a strong passion for learning both data domains and business domains.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fast learner / collaborative/open-minded.
- Fluent English speaking/reading/writing skills.
