Reporting to the Global Entity Management (GEM) Leader of Mexico, the Sr. Manager for GEM Mexico will assist in meeting the governance and regulatory agenda for Mexico entities. This role involves leading complex projects in legal entity administration, resolving problems with functional expertise, and developing global process improvements. The manager will provide insights on corporate governance and compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on entity management strategies and ensuring operational efficiency.

  • Understand and support local licensing requirements to ensure appropriate compliance with the obligations and how it can enable strategic business objectives for Mexico.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Global Entity Management (GEM) Leader of Mexico, the Sr. Manager for GEM Mexico will assist the GEM Leader of Mexico to meet the governance and regulatory agenda for the Mexico entities.

The GEM Sr. Manager for Mexico will help foster strong internal and external relationships, enabling an experienced international team to execute with excellence. The successful candidate will possess commercial acumen, business partnering skills and quickly demonstrate an understanding of PayPal’s core businesses.

The GEM Sr. Manager for Mexico will keep abreast of industry trends, develop deep relationships both internally and externally and ensure PayPal’s products and services continue to be relevant and delivered in a manner that suits the needs of the market whilst adhering to local rules and regulations.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

Expected Qualifications:

  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience creating Board presentations and engagement with Board of Directors and Regulators.
  • Familiarity with the Mexico markets, coupled with perspectives from working in a matrixed environment. Ideally this person would have experience working for a US multi-national at some stage in their career.
  • Experience in Mexico Payments industry (Acquirer side)
  • Knowledgeable about competitive forces within and outside of the industry.
  • Track record of driving results for an organization.
  • BS/BA Required
  • English speaking required
